Today, I took a shower after I finished typing an important essay I've been working on for days. My computer illiterate mum shut the computer down when I was gone, without saving a thing. When I confronted her, she yelled at me for "wasting electricity". FML

Today, I accidentally left my bedroom light on all day. When I got home, my mum screamed at me for wasting electricity. This is the same woman who leaves the TV on all day while she’s at work, all so our dogs have something to watch and won't be “bored”. FML

Today, my mother told me to take a quick shower. When I got out, she told me I took too long, and now I have to pay the utilities bill. My shower was two minutes long. FML

Today, my mother called me "wasteful" because I left the refrigerator door open and that "electricity money doesn’t grow on trees." This is the same person who lets my little sister have her light on all night, because she’s scared of the dark. FML

Today, I woke up early, went to the gym, then came home and showered. When I went into my room to change, my mom woke up and started pounding on my door, screaming about how lazy and useless I was for sleeping so late. When I tried to tell her otherwise, she grounded me for "talking back". FML

YDI for not saving. I mean cmon, if this paper was that important and you have been working on it for days, why didnt you save earlier? I don't know about everyone else but when I write a paper like that, I save every five minutes, it doesnt take long and it ensures that everything will be there in the event of an unexpected shut down.

Wow. The whole "Save every 15 minutes" thing hasn't sunk through yet, has it? Thank God this happened now, rather than further down the line when it might be something really important.

well thats what u get for not pressing SAVE every few minutes! u dont type a whole paper without hitting save all throughout! u never know WHATS going to happen! ive learned to KEEP PRESSING SAVE eevery couple of minutes! and before u walk away from the computer you ALWAYS hit save! duh!
