Today, it was my birthday. Normally, the little office I work in throws a big party for every employee on their special day, but nothing was done for me, not even a "Happy Birthday" came my way. I didn't want to be rude, so I stayed silent. They didn't do anything because I was getting laid off. FML

Today, it was my birthday. My family usually gives me a financial gift, but didn't this time and said nothing about it. I cooked my own birthday dinner without help, then washed everyone's dishes. I got my own cake and ate it alone because they were too busy getting drunk. Nobody bothered to sing Happy Birthday either. FML

Today, I was fired over the phone, losing my only source of income. When asked if I was okay, I explained that although I understood why, I was a little peeved they'd chosen my birthday to deliver the message. My - now former - boss then sang "Happy Birthday" to me in its entirety. FML

Today, it was my co-worker's birthday but she told me not to mention it. Feeling bad for her, I went out to buy her a card, a present, and even a small cake. It turns out that there was actually a party during our lunch break, and I was the only one in our office not invited. FML

Today, it's my birthday. At my workplace, we always get a cake for whoever's birthday it is. They somehow forgot about me. I've been working there for a year, and my grandparents and my dad own the restaurant I work at. FML

Firstly, saying that they "didn't do anything" BECAUSE (funny word, "because" ... it's sometimes a key word) the OP was "getting laid off" implies that they knew. Secondly, it makes it more of an FML. Because the OP was angsting that nobody remembered her birthday, and then found out that they WEREN'T because she was getting laid off. Two blows, one day. Two blows in one day also equals an FML, by the way... you know, in case you didn't get that, either.

this happens to me 2 every year since 7 grade (I'm in 9 grade) no one remembered my birthday and they just acted like it was a normal day and my birthday is coming up again on the 29 of April I don't want this year to be like those other years :(

What I wanted to say right before I set a bitch on fire. People are usually assholes, period. Corporate people are pretty much guaranteed to be either an asshole, or very nice.
