Today, I received a late Christmas present from my estranged father. I was really excited, having neither seen nor heard from him in nearly two years. It was a $200 gift card for a store that only exists in Canada. I don't live in Canada. Not even close. FML

Go to one of those gift card exchange sites.

Well he knew your address so he knows where you live. I don't see what the FML part is. Is it really that big of deal that he doesn't know what countries stores are in?

I would see if there is an online store you can shop through...or maybe he's trying to tell you to plan to come out and visit him in Canada.

Yeah...a $200 Tim card would be EPIC. But I think it's Future Shop.

Mmm Timmy's. I think there actually is a tim hortons in fl. I know there are a few down south.

I'm confused, does the father live in Canada?

All you need to know is that Op lives in Florida and received a gift card which can only be redeemed at a store which only exists in Canada...

Still nice of him to send a gift, one worth $200!
