Stumped

Today, while reading some chemistry notes, I came across the term "solid water". Completely stumped, I asked myself, "What the hell is solid water?" Then I heard my little cousin say, "Ice." I'm a 4th year science major in university. He still checks the closet for monsters. FML

It's okay, when you study so much you can have stupid lapses like that.

It happens. You don't really realize what some things are at first, even if it should be obvious.

It happens. =) I don't think it's that bad. A lot of math majors, once they get into more complex concepts, for example, start to forget how to do simple arithmetic (or so says one my math major friends). Sometimes we forget how *simple* things can be!

its just one of those things you know. children have different ways of thinking, whateva

@ #80: That's... partially true I guess, I think I can integrate better than I can subtract. o.O; That's... kind of scary, in a way.

Want to re-think that whole 'science major' thing?

You see? Everything you need to know was taught in Pre-school.

Hey you know what else would be really funny? If the earth were round.

solid water=ice hard water=dissolved rocks if you have hard water buildup, it just means there are sediments in you water that show on surfaces when water evaporates. you can listen to Billy mayes, but make sure you know WTF your talking about.

hard water is different than solid water. ice is water in a solid state. hard water is when there are dissolved sediments in your water. hard water buildup is when the sediments 'buildup' on a surface

You're an idiot. Of course, Chemistry majors are morons. It's all about physics.
