RIP

Today, I received two cards in the mail for my late husband for his birthday. He has been dead for four years now, and the cards were from our two children, who live several states away. This is the fourth time it's happened, and neither of them answer my calls. Ever. FML

Set up a Facebook page for your dead husband and set his status to "deceased". Then send them both a friend request. Maybe they'll accept and see his status and finally get the message.

call me evil, callous, whatever, but i can't help but feel that there must be some reason that neither of your children speak to you. people don't just write off their parents, especially their only parent living, for absolutely no reason; something must have happened somewhere. you must have been in the wrong, or at least one of your kids would still attempt a relationship with you. what is the honest reason that your kids don't speak to you?

it's estrangement- the parents don't do anything wrong, but the adult child just doesn't want to be with their parents anymore snd they estrange themselves and cut themselves off from th parent it's really sad

gosh. maybe they have different numbers. can you contact them some other way? like send them a letter back explaining so... that's actually bad that your kids don't know about their dad, surely you can contact them SOMEHOW if you really wanted to

sounds like they ate estranged.... is that right? my two older brothers are estranged, and for ppl saying ' mail them back or go see them' it's not tht easy... maybe th kids don't want to be talked to

it's hilarious how you think your pic makes you look cool. it's also hilarious that you think, well, at all. I agree that her kids could at least have the decency to answer a phone call once in awhile, possibly make one themselves, however, is there a reason they don't return said phone calls? or make their own? not all kids keep in contact with their parents if they are lowlife scum, or just terrible people in general. although, to not care enough to know if your parents are alive or dead is pretty low, even if they were terrible people.. I'm glad I love my parents an speak to them regularly even though I live 2 cities away from them.
