It sounds to me like she's asking you to formally ask her out. "A weekly dinner" is something I do with a friend. "A date" is something I do with my girlfriend. Ask her out for some other activity some other time of the week and make it CLEAR that it's a date. Sounds less like she's rejecting you/treating you as a friend and more like she's whacking you with a clue by four.

I see your dilemma... at a certain age, it becomes awkward to just ASK someone to become "official" with you. It makes the whole situation seem very immature. To number 17 (NyCSal), you have to realize that there's much worse stuff that can happen. Such as a foot to the face and also the ubiquitous sexual harassment charge. Sure she might be hitting on you, but by the same token, she might already have another person in her life. And yeah, with the infidelity going around nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised that she wouldn't find it wrong to eat dinner with you while being married to someone else.
