Today, I celebrated my birthday. When asked last week, I said I wanted a keyboard. When I opened the present, my parents went into hysterics. It was an electronic Dora the Explorer keyboard. I've been studying music composition and theory for six years. They think my major's a joke. FML

Hey i used 2 play piano my dad bought me a 200 year old piano u would c in the bars in western movies he even tuned it ( really badly and ended up breaking the lowest note ) too bad i quit now i hav a big ass piano and a bunch of western movies mocking me

Your major *is* a joke, and frankly I'm amazed your parents have paid for six years of it. The "Dora" keyboard was a genius move, and I'd guess they're finally getting tired of your BS.

i think its halirious how everyone is being such a dick to her for taking music. But you don't think the people on your ipod or on MTV are lame. this is how people start out. take a look at yourself. your being hypocrites.

For every 1 person who "made it" onto my iPod or MTV, there are another thousand who didn't. Anyone who actually *expects* to make a career out of music, to the exclusion of studying and learning any actual useful skills, is an idiot.
