Today, I found out my boss wrote me up because he heard me crying on the phone, and that it was unprofessional. I was talking to my sister, who was telling that me my father had died. Three weeks ago, he was crying about his dog breaking his leg. FML
Today, I asked my 13-year-old son if he thought he was mature enough for a talk about "the birds and the bees." His response was, "They fly, so what? Why would I care?" FML
Aujourd'hui, les nouveaux voisins se présentent. Ils sont charmants. Avant de partir, ils ajoutent : "N'hésitez pas à monter frapper à la porte si les enfants font trop de bruit en soirée, on peut pas le savoir, on met des boules Quiès." VDM

Aujourd'hui, je rentre des courses avec le numéro de téléphone qu'un inconnu m'a remis sur un papier dans la rue, car il a craqué sur moi. Bien que mariée, j'avoue être flattée de cette démarche et raconte l'anecdote à ma famille. Réaction de ma fille : "Il avait perdu un pari ?" VDM
Aujourd'hui, confinement tendu avec ma belle-mère dans ma maison très isolée. Elle râle toute la matinée car elle n'a pas son magazine télé préféré. À bout de nerfs, je file chez le marchand de journaux, à 15 km de là. J'ai acheté le programme de cette semaine ; elle voulait celui de la semaine prochaine. VDM
Aujourd'hui, alors que je préparais minutieusement une tourte au canard confit, une boîte de copeaux de chocolat m'a glissé des mains et tout le contenu est tombé sur la pâte fraîchement déposée sur la garniture. J'ai par la même occasion appris à quel point ces petits morceaux fondent vite. VDM
Today, I was at my mom's when I suddenly doubled over in pain. It was so bad that I begging to be taken to the hospital, just when her dog started coughing. She immediately ran to her dog, asked if she was OK, saying that she hates to see anyone she loves in pain. I sat there hunched over in disbelief. FML
Today, my fiancé and I told my future mother-in-law that we are expecting. Her response was, "Why are you doing this to me?" FML
Today, after my dad told me to sign my daughter up for expensive dance lessons as a birthday present, and she was ecstatic and very dedicated, I asked him for the payment for this month. He replied, "Oh, she wanted more than one lesson?" Now she won’t stop crying and I have no way to pay. FML
Today, my kids found out how to control my Google alarm clock with their phones. While I was gone, they set it to play screamo metal at max volume, then paused it. Sometime after midnight, as I was sleeping, they pressed play. FML
Today, a few few friends, along with my long-time crush of mine came over to my house so we could finish a school project. As soon as he stepped into my house, he went pale, turned heel, and refused to step foot in my house. Why? Because the bison taxidermy above my fireplace scares him. FML

Aujourd'hui, pour l'anniversaire de mon mec, je l'emmène passer la nuit dans une cabane dans un arbre, avec toilettes, sèches, à l'extérieur. Une fois couchés, il court aux toilettes. Intoxication alimentaire. Romantisme absolu : Le lendemain, nous devons reprendre le sachet des toilettes. VDM
Aujourd'hui, je suis malade. Ne supportant plus la douleur au point d’en venir au larmes, je vais aux urgences. Après une heure d’attente, on me fait quelques tests. Six heures plus tard, on m’informe que ce n’est finalement rien de grave, mais aussi qu’on m’avait oublié. VDM
Aujourd'hui, ma mère s'étonne de la quantité de nourriture que j'ai dans la cave. Je lui explique que je fais des réserves, comme un petit écureuil. J'ai entendu ma grand-mère dans la pièce d'à-côté marmonner : "Puis elle bouffe des glands aussi…" VDM
Today, I had a massive, pounding headache. I asked my mom for some painkillers and she said, "No. You don’t deserve pain relief. Ever. For anything." What? FML
Today, after I went to live with my biological mom, after she convinced me she’s been off drugs while I was living with my grandparents, she gave me one of two puppies she'd bought as a gift. Then she got arrested. Turns out she stole said puppy. Some things never change. FML
Today, my mom woke me up from a wet dream, because I was moaning too loudly. I'm a 32 year-old virgin. FML
Today, after I supported my friends through heartbreak, had long conversations at 4 a.m., stayed late at work to help through breakdowns, I finally broke after a series of bad experiences. I decided to reach out. All I got was, "lol that sucks", "Oh, would you believe the week I had" or simply no response. FML
Today, my girlfriend is giving me the silent treatment and is making me sleep on the couch, all because I said I loved my best female friend. I meant loved like family. She still won’t hear me out. FML
Today, I had my first ever date. He invited me to dinner and a movie. Then he put on "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." I couldn’t think of an excuse to get out, so I had to wait till the end of the film. FML
Today, I brought home my new boyfriend, who happens to have an eyepatch. Despite repeatedly telling them not to, even threatening punishment, my daughters, ages 9 and 11, would not stop calling him "Cyclops." He’s mad at me for this. FML
Today, I had to do a presentation. No one else in my group showed up, so I had to do it alone. I was given a failing grade for presenting by myself, and therefore not being a "team player". FML
Today, my husband pre-ordered $500 worth of Transformers figures. We're supposed to be trying to save up for a house. FML
Today, my mom strictly banned me from doing any of my chores, because I missed a spot while wiping the counters. She then screamed at me for not doing my chores. When I went to go do them, she screamed at me for doing my chores when I’m not allowed. I can’t win here. FML
Today, on the way to an exam, I got hit by a car. I got back up and limped to class. The teacher wouldn’t let me in because I was 10 seconds late. FML
Today, my husband thinks I don’t love him. Why? Because I won’t poop with him in the room. FML
Aujourd'hui, sortant du métro, je vois mon bus qui part. Je cours pour l'attraper avant qu'il ne s'insère dans la circulation. N'étant pas censé m'accepter en dehors des arrêts, il me refuse. Penaud, je retourne à mon arrêt… et vois une femme faire comme moi et se faire accepter par le chauffeur. VDM
