Today, the day before I was going to move in with my army fiancé, he was told he would be deployed very soon. I can't pay for the apartment without him, and now have to move back in with my parents until he returns from active duty. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
And yet you have phone? Curious Andy
Today, I packed up to get ready to move to my boyfriend’s. I just graduated high school and I don’t get along with his mom, but I have no other choice of living. I was supposed to move in with his family tomorrow but now his mom won’t let me. It was last minute, and I’m basically homeless. FML
Missed me?
Today, I caught a flight to see my boyfriend, who is stationed in the army 300 miles away. When I was just 15 minutes from the base he called to say that we should break up. Now I'm heading back to California, single and broke. FML
Today, my boyfriend came home from a two week vacation and told me I needed to move out. FML
Today, I'm seven months into a twelve month deployment. I called my fiancée, and she dumped me. The worst part is that two days ago, I re-enlisted to go to a unit an hour away from her house. FML
Moving day
Today, I just got a new assignment for the moving company I work for. Two weeks ago my fiancé dumped me and I moved out of the house. Almost all of the furniture was mine and it took forever. The new moving assignment I have is moving her new boyfriend into my old house. FML
Today, my fiancé's mother made him pack his stuff and move to Montana while I was at work. I came home to a half-written note because she wouldn’t let him finish. We own a house together. FML
Surprise!
Today, my boyfriend told me he’d have a surprise for me when I got home. The surprise was he’d moved out, dumped me, and cut me off from his share of the bills, because he’s not interested in marriage and babies. I can’t afford the rent by myself so I’m going to have to move back to my mother's. FML
Today, my newly ex-fiancé, the father of my 5-year-old child, moved out of state with no warning. I just spent my last $500 paying off his car, and the rent is due tomorrow. FML
Boots on the ground
Today, I learned that my husband is getting deployed for we don’t know how long, and I’ll be left all alone, in a different country far away from home. FML

when you're an "army wife," minor/major setbacks is what you will have to deal with. It wont be easy.

It's not his job to get shot it's his job to shoot people just sayin. Don't get married it will end horribly it usually does more so if your already complaining abut money.

Umm if you willingly enter into a job of which the job description is to shoot people, then I think you deserve to get shot. I'm an educated American and I ******* hate war. Killing is wrong no matter who the victim is! There is NO excuse for it. Army wives wanna bitch about it? Go ahead - I'm not gonna read anything after I leave my nice little opinion nugget, so have at it. ;)

So your fiancé is about to go on active duty, and the thing your most warried about is paying the rent? What a bitch.

I am also engaged to someone in the army. Your comment is really annoying to me. You knew when you got engaged the lifestyle you may be leading, especially if he is active duty, you can't complain. I STRONGLY agree with some of these posts. You must be really young, you have some serious growing up to do before you get married, if you think its the end of the world living with your parents while your future HUSBAND is over seas. It seriously disgusts me.

Im an Army Wife. The Military supports your SPOUSE during deployment, not your fiancé. Don't listen to the people talking shit, they don't know what we go through and they don't know what our husbands go through. Take a deep breath, relax. All you can do at this point is support him and be there when he gets back. I'll pray for you both.

I think the biggest FML is that your partner is going to be deployed soon, not having to move back in with your parents.

I know at least one thing about the army: it's there to kill people.

I don't like the general superiority feeling soldiers have about civilians either. They're here for our protection, right?

Exactly.
