Today, the day before I was going to move in with my army fiancé, he was told he would be deployed very soon. I can't pay for the apartment without him, and now have to move back in with my parents until he returns from active duty. FML

Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
Today, I packed up to get ready to move to my boyfriend’s. I just graduated high school and I don’t get along with his mom, but I have no other choice of living. I was supposed to move in with his family tomorrow but now his mom won’t let me. It was last minute, and I’m basically homeless. FML
Today, I caught a flight to see my boyfriend, who is stationed in the army 300 miles away. When I was just 15 minutes from the base he called to say that we should break up. Now I'm heading back to California, single and broke. FML
Today, my boyfriend came home from a two week vacation and told me I needed to move out. FML
Today, I'm seven months into a twelve month deployment. I called my fiancée, and she dumped me. The worst part is that two days ago, I re-enlisted to go to a unit an hour away from her house. FML
Today, I just got a new assignment for the moving company I work for. Two weeks ago my fiancé dumped me and I moved out of the house. Almost all of the furniture was mine and it took forever. The new moving assignment I have is moving her new boyfriend into my old house. FML
Today, my fiancé's mother made him pack his stuff and move to Montana while I was at work. I came home to a half-written note because she wouldn’t let him finish. We own a house together. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he’d have a surprise for me when I got home. The surprise was he’d moved out, dumped me, and cut me off from his share of the bills, because he’s not interested in marriage and babies. I can’t afford the rent by myself so I’m going to have to move back to my mother's. FML
Today, my newly ex-fiancé, the father of my 5-year-old child, moved out of state with no warning. I just spent my last $500 paying off his car, and the rent is due tomorrow. FML
Today, I learned that my husband is getting deployed for we don’t know how long, and I’ll be left all alone, in a different country far away from home. FML

okay... I AM MILITARY, so i can tell you... don't listen to these high and mighty bitches that think they are special. if my wife was like this i wouldn't have married her. i agree with an earlier post. if you want to stick with him then best way to get through it is focus on supporting him. obviously most of them forgot what it was like when they realized that reality wasn't as romantic as the show ARMY WIVES. oh and by the way... from my experiences most the women that do act so special about being married military are the once who have at some point cheated on their spouses overseas. see they feel so guilty they have to jump on your ass to feel better about themselves

well now no it's not quite that easy. there's been many times i tried to send money. especially if you're one of people pushed out to the shitty areas. several times i tried to send money and it was actually LOST. the fact is it's no one's fault. it's just way life is in this situation

my husband is in the army if you are married before he gets deployed they will give him a housing allowance due to the fact that they do not want soldiers to return from a deployment to the states with no home

You have no idea what your talking about. when you are on active duty you get a housing allowance usually way more than the cost of your rent. Your boyfriend must just be saying that because he doesn't want to be with you anymore. So FYL

god you're stupid. i am active duty and no you don't get paid housing just for being active. hell where i'm stationed you don't even get automatic housing for being married. the ONLY way to get it here is if you live off post. so even when i got married i had to get official command approval to get paid housing

That sucks. Sorry to hear he is deploying. I'm a Marine wife, my husband deploys in September. And to answer everyones questions, she can't get any money or anything unless their married. Engaged doesn't count.
