Today, my fiancé's mother made him pack his stuff and move to Montana while I was at work. I came home to a half-written note because she wouldn’t let him finish. We own a house together. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Under pressure
Today, I told my boyfriend of nearly a year that I finally told my mother about him, and that she wants us to fly out so he can meet her. He said “OK” with a blank expression. I went to work, and when I got home, he and all his stuff were gone. He left a note on the fridge, saying, “Sorry, I can’t do this anymore. All the best.” FML
And yet you have phone? Curious Andy
Today, I packed up to get ready to move to my boyfriend’s. I just graduated high school and I don’t get along with his mom, but I have no other choice of living. I was supposed to move in with his family tomorrow but now his mom won’t let me. It was last minute, and I’m basically homeless. FML
Today, my mother-in-law told my fiancé that I had to leave and wasn’t allowed to live there anymore. I own the house. She’s mad because I locked the door so she couldn't walk in anytime she wanted. FML
#1 Dad!
Today, I told my fiancé he needed to spend at least one night a week at home with his daughter or we will pack up and leave. He responded by getting a suitcase. FML
Today, my fiancée broke up with me. Via a myspace message. While we were in the same apartment. FML
Enough is enough
Today, I fell asleep at my boyfriend’s house and missed my curfew. It’s almost 4 a.m. Scrambling, I arrived home to find the locks changed. On the door knob was a note: “Go live with your boyfriend, you slut. See if he cooks and cleans up after you. I’ll help you move out your stuff in the morning. - Mom” FML
Mr Commitment
Today, I asked the person I love to commit to me. Instead, he packed his shit and moved out. FML
Moving day
Today, I just got a new assignment for the moving company I work for. Two weeks ago my fiancé dumped me and I moved out of the house. Almost all of the furniture was mine and it took forever. The new moving assignment I have is moving her new boyfriend into my old house. FML
Today, after months of planning, my boyfriend told me he's changed his mind and doesn’t want to move with me to where I got a job. Why? He doesn’t want to live that far away from his mother. FML
Surprise!
Today, my boyfriend told me he’d have a surprise for me when I got home. The surprise was he’d moved out, dumped me, and cut me off from his share of the bills, because he’s not interested in marriage and babies. I can’t afford the rent by myself so I’m going to have to move back to my mother's. FML

It’s easier to dump a mama’s boy than divorce a mama’s boy, and both of those are easier than trying to change a mama’s boy.

If his mother can "make him" uproot his and your life like that (or if he's willing to do it and then blame his mother) then just thank your lucky stars you found out before you married him. If his name's on the house, work on getting it signed over to yourself ASAP.

The real question is, how much is that ring worth? Enough that you can cash it? Tell him your mother made you sell it so you can’t return it.

Well legally he broke the contract, so she keeps the ring

He* keeps the ring.

I think Mom made him because she has ALL the money.

You could follow him and become Hannah Montana and have the best of both worlds. If his mom will let you...

Unless she had a gun, there's no excuse for this nonsense.

File a missing persons report or even kidnapping. She wouldn’t even let him finish the note? If he co-owns a house then he’s an adult, she has no legal power to force him to move.

Make sure you throw away all of his panties.

You may want to remind him that he’s an adult.

So, either he's so co-dependent with his mother that he actually felt he still has 0 power whatsoever over his life (can't even finish a note) or he was so terrified of commitment that he desperately leaped at the first excuse to get the heck out of there without even trying to communicate and work it out with you. Either way you slice it, the very basic foundation of any healthy relationship is healthy communication. If he can't practice that with you now, the marriage was doomed from the outset. Maybe in a few years when he grows up, IF he grows up, he might be ready for marriage, but for right now it sounds like you both need very different things in your life than the other is able/willing to offer. I really wish you luck on your journey from here on out. Live and learn.

Looks like you own a house.
