Today, the day before I was going to move in with my army fiancé, he was told he would be deployed very soon. I can't pay for the apartment without him, and now have to move back in with my parents until he returns from active duty. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
And yet you have phone? Curious Andy
Today, I packed up to get ready to move to my boyfriend’s. I just graduated high school and I don’t get along with his mom, but I have no other choice of living. I was supposed to move in with his family tomorrow but now his mom won’t let me. It was last minute, and I’m basically homeless. FML
Missed me?
Today, I caught a flight to see my boyfriend, who is stationed in the army 300 miles away. When I was just 15 minutes from the base he called to say that we should break up. Now I'm heading back to California, single and broke. FML
Today, my boyfriend came home from a two week vacation and told me I needed to move out. FML
Today, I'm seven months into a twelve month deployment. I called my fiancée, and she dumped me. The worst part is that two days ago, I re-enlisted to go to a unit an hour away from her house. FML
Moving day
Today, I just got a new assignment for the moving company I work for. Two weeks ago my fiancé dumped me and I moved out of the house. Almost all of the furniture was mine and it took forever. The new moving assignment I have is moving her new boyfriend into my old house. FML
Today, my fiancé's mother made him pack his stuff and move to Montana while I was at work. I came home to a half-written note because she wouldn’t let him finish. We own a house together. FML
Surprise!
Today, my boyfriend told me he’d have a surprise for me when I got home. The surprise was he’d moved out, dumped me, and cut me off from his share of the bills, because he’s not interested in marriage and babies. I can’t afford the rent by myself so I’m going to have to move back to my mother's. FML
Today, my newly ex-fiancé, the father of my 5-year-old child, moved out of state with no warning. I just spent my last $500 paying off his car, and the rent is due tomorrow. FML
Boots on the ground
Today, I learned that my husband is getting deployed for we don’t know how long, and I’ll be left all alone, in a different country far away from home. FML

when you're an "army wife," minor/major setbacks is what you will have to deal with. It wont be easy.

The way you wrote this makes it sound like you are more upset that you have to move back into your parent's house than that your fiance is being deployed. While that is probably not what you feel (or at least I hope not), you might want to consider if marrying someone in the service is for you. One thing is for sure, and that is it's not easy.

ever heard of BAH? you should look it up.

lol just because he's deployed doesn't mean he can't pay for it... he should get BAH. there for all he has to do is set up his bank account to pay the apartment bill.. I'm sure he already knew this, that's why I'm starting to think he didn't tell u that for a reason.. so yea ur life sucks

you said until he returns from active duty. so I'm assuming he's national guard or reserve. which means he'll maintain bah while deployed. do the smart thing. put most of his stuff in storage, change his address to your address and save the bah while he's deployed. trust me, you'll be thankful for it when alls said and done. good luck with deployment. been there done that!

unless something changed from when I was in the Corps, he can have all or a portion of the rent taken out of his check and sent to the landlord/realtor. good luck to you, military life is rough, and even more so for the spouse.

...... you know what we do on deployments? absolutely ******* nothing. yeah every now and again we get hit by a random IED but the wars over. the toughest thing is the temperature and being away from home.

Easy get him to put money into an account on that you can withdrawal from. As a former army man, that's how I handled the same situation
