Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
Today, I found out that instead of being stationed in Afghanistan, my husband of 9 years has been "stationed" at his other girlfriend's house. FML
Today, I got back from an 8-month deployment ready for relaxation and lots of sex with my husband. He said he’s come to realise he likes living alone, didn’t miss me much, and hasn’t been looking forward to me coming home. He gave me divorce papers and kicked me out to go sleep in a hotel. FML
Today, I found out that my husband was trying to cheat on me while I was away at basic training. I signed up for the service to pay off his debt. FML
Today, my fiancé left for a 6-month deployment overseas. I waved him away, came back inside alone, and cried. I know this is what I signed up for, but the cat could've shown more sympathy than staring at me and walking away. FML
Today, it's been one year since my husband moved six states away for his job. The plan was for me to stay behind until I found a job, but I still haven't in all this time. I can just feel the distance growing between us. FML
Today, the day before I was going to move in with my army fiancé, he was told he would be deployed very soon. I can't pay for the apartment without him, and now have to move back in with my parents until he returns from active duty. FML
Today, I found out that my husband booked one-way tickets for our family to another country, without any return flights or even a place to stay, or money to navigate anything. We're living with my income, and I’m not sure if I want a divorce or a protective order against him. FML
Today, I found out that my husband wants to leave me. I got the message loud and clear when his girlfriend forwarded me screenshots of all their texts. FML
Today, I found out my soon-to-be husband and father of my unborn child is already married to another man. FML

Deployments can be tough. First thing is try to make some friends. you are not alone. There may be another family in the same situation you are in the same place. You will find strength in friendship. There is probably even a facebook group or 2 that will help. I know when my son went to hawaii, his wife left all their previous military friends in NC. It took a little bit but slowly they found another couple so now his wife will have a friend to lean on if he gets sent on deployment. Good luck. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO REACH OUT!

Deployments can be tough. First thing is try to make some friends. you are not alone. There may be another family in the same situation you are in the same place. You will find strength in friendship. There is probably even a facebook group or 2 that will help. I know when my son went to hawaii, his wife left all their previous military friends in NC. I’m a military mom, and trust me, I don’t like it…. But… what exactly were you thinking was going to happen?? Better buck up, you /we have a loooong road ahead.
