Today, my vegetarian housemate cleaned the fridge. He threw away all of the meat in our fridge and made a nice sign stating "Meat is Murder". I was storing roughly $1000 worth of filet mignon steaks and seafood for my sister's wedding. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
It's not a phase, Mom!
Today, my daughter, who is going through a vegan phase, pulled the plug for our garage chest freezer, where we store our meat. That's $1200 of meat, rotten. My husband is so mad that he's been at the gym for six hours straight. FML
Roomies
Today, I moved in with my new roommate. She's a vegetarian, and won't let me put my meat in the fridge because it will "contaminate her food". FML
Go vegan
Today, my roommate decided to go vegan and threw all of MY meats, cheeses, chocolates and even beans for some reason in the trash, because he "doesn't need that kind of toxic waste" in his life. FML
Today, my roommate decided to go vegan after watching a PETA video. She began this new-found lifestyle by throwing out all of the non-vegan items in the house, including some prime rib we had recently purchased, all of our ice cream, and my chocolate stash. FML
The Stinking of Hill House
Today, I found out my ex-husband left the fridge full of rotting meat in the house that I'm selling. I turned off the power to the house in March. Now the whole house stinks, and I had to have the fridge professionally removed and the kitchen cleaned because buyers are coming to look at it tomorrow. FML
Today, I kindly asked my crazy roommate to move out. She answered by stuffing raw hamburger meat down all the drains in the apartment. FML
Today, to keep me from "getting fatter", my roommate raided the kitchen. She ate everything from cookies and ice cream to deli meat. The only thing left in the house are vegetables. FML
Today, surprisingly, my roommate made a nice meal. Within an hour, I started throwing up. When I confronted her, she confessed that she'd used long expired ingredients, including meat, because she didn't want the garbage men to think she's "the type that wastes food." FML
Our house, is a very very very fine house
Today, my housemate, who never cleans, cooked tacos, then left her dishes for the rest of the evening. When shown a bowl of murky water in the sink, she denied it was hers, prompting my vegetarian housemate to clean it. Putting her hand in the bowl, she found a lump of raw taco meat. Yum. FML
Today, after I cleaned out the fridge of things that expired months ago, my roommate got angry and insisted upon pulling all the moldy dairy products out of the garbage and putting them back because "they weren't mine and I shouldn't throw out other people's food." FML

I would kill your housemate and serve him at your sister's wedding.

I'm a vegetarian too, but that's just wrong. :o I understand when people eat meat, it's not like I can change them. But what your roommate did was going too far. -_- Oh, and tell him to stop supporting PETA. T_T

I meant "field" animals

Believe it or not, many vegetarians avoid grains and eat Raw or Macrobiotic diets. But with eating meat, you're double dipping, because the meat you ate for dinner in one night probably came from an animal who ate enough grain during its lifetime to feed you for years and years.

You stole that off an old Maddox article. But it was an awesome article, so you still win.

If we aren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?

Very simply, your roommate is required to reimburse you the $1000 after you buy the meat again (and store it somewhere else). If he doesn't, take him to court. Or you can just throw away $1000 worth of his stuff and call it even.

Next time a vegetarian tries to give you a guilt trip, remind them that by consuming vegetables, they directly contribute to the deaths of untold numbers of animals too. For starters, vegetables and grains are grown on large farms, where the farm equipment can run over small animals. The fertilizers can poison certain animals and runoff into rivers, lakes, and oceans, where it causes unnatural events such as algae growth and plankton blooms that de-oxygenate the water and can cause the collapse of entire ecosystems. The pesticides can poison birds and endanger species. The trucks that transport the vegetables occasionally deer and other animals, causing death and suffering if they aren't killed outright. Finally, nearly everything involved in growing, storing, transporting, and selling vegetables is directly or indirectly powered by fossil fuels that contribute to changing habitats that cause suffering and death for many species across the globe.

Most vegetarians are pretty selective about what kind of vegetables they eat. That's why there's organic food at nearly every grocery store.

"Throw away all the vegetables in the fridge and put a nice sign saying 'You're killing our Oxygen'." So clutch. In all seriousness, make this tool pay you back for the Filet he wasted. I actually have 2 friends who are total-vegetarians and they don't give half a shit what I eat... better yet, put your sister on the phone, and have this asshole explain why he just ruined her wedding. The embarrassment and the verbal lashing your sister will dish-out will put this disrespectful "housie" in his place..then find a new housemate.

I think $1000 takes it out of the realm of small claims court and makes it an actual crime. As in willful destruction of private property.

I'm a vegetarian, but that was an asshole move on his part. It didn't seem obvious that $1000 worth of steaks in the fridge might have been there for a reason? Honestly, I don't see the point of rubbing it in his face "Vegetables contribute to death of animals" or "Oxygen Killer".

I hate smug, self-righteous, douchebag vegans/vegetarians. Obviously they're not all like that, but the ones that are piss me off.
