Today, my only friend got banned from my house, all because she kissed her boyfriend in front of me. I'm 16, but apparently I can't handle seeing a kiss. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom bitched me out in front of my friends because I had my first kiss at "such a young age". She's 15 years older than me. FML
Today, I was in my bedroom with my boyfriend and we were kissing. My mom then came into my room and started shouting at my boyfriend for cheating on her. FML
Today, I found out that the reason my best friend is not allowed over anymore is because he hits on my mom and writes her love letters. FML
Don't come around here no more
Today, I got banned from my boyfriend's house for being an "insurance liability." FML
Today, I walked in on my boyfriend and my best friend making out. She claimed he was just tasting her lipstick. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me. By making out with her new boyfriend in front of me. FML
One track mind
Today, my mom won’t let me go to my boyfriend’s apartment. She says it’s because “I know what you guys are gonna do there I’m not stupid.” She threatened to kick me out of the house if I go. I’m 19. FML
Today, I finally had the guts to tell my mom about her boyfriend hitting on me. Not only did she not care, but she got mad at me. I'm 15. FML
Today, at the age of 17, I had my first kiss with the girl I've liked for over a year. However, it was a stage kiss and the girl has made it clear that she finds me repulsive. FML
Not a good look
Today, I was making out with this hot girl at a party. She was a bad kisser and I meant to say, "It's like you're 16 and don't know how to kiss" but it came out as, "It's like I'm kissing a 16 year-old." The room fell silent and she got off my lap with a disturbed look on her face. FML

Kiss your friend good bye. Wait don't. That's the problem.

Your parents are ridiculous.

they shouldn't shelter you like that. most sheltered children become wild when they go off to college and end up doing reckless things.

Hate to see what would happen if op got caught watching ****!

Your parents need a wake up call. I'm so sick of seeing this kind of attitude about physical affection and sex, like banning it is supposed to make you not do it. It's been proven over and over again that banning it never works and that being open about topics like this is much healthier for all. It's so aggravating!

To all those who say her parents should lighten up, it may not be that they are strict parents but rather they feel that her friend may be a bad influence on their daughter. Peer pressure is real, and a person's friends are a reflection of that person's attitude and outlooks. They may simply not want their daughter to have that type of influence in her circle of friends. That is not overprotective, it's looking out for their daughter as best they can. It may suck now, but it could very well benefit her in the long run.

So kissing now makes a person a bad influence. Get real. This is clearly just overprotective parents trying to shelter their children.

...are you kidding? One, read the "my only friend" part in the post. Two, they just banned OP from ever seeing their only friend. That implies that they've driven off all the friends OP has had in an attempt to limit their exposure to other people. Sure, try to pass it off as them being protective, but any parent who is protective out of genuine concern would acknowledge that their child needs at least ONE friend. The fact they happily drove even this last friend away over something as ridiculous as a kiss implies they are intentionally socially isolating OP as a form of control. Which, SURPRISE! Is one of the most common forms of emotional abuse, and also a tool used by abusers of all kinds because it means the victim does not have anyone to seek outside help from. If you think their behavior is okay because it /might/ be out of concern, when the behavior is abusive regardless of intent, then I pity any kids you have or may have in the future.

What "peer pressure"? The friend kissed her own boyfriend. There is no ******* bad influence or 'peer pressure'.

I have a feeling #18 did this as a parent and feels guilty. no other reason to defend this behavior.

I understand how you feel because I've gone through this stuff, just know that your parents see things differently and maybe when you guys come to an understanding; then eventually they'll come around.

So are you still getting your eyes covered for when kisses or any "intimate" scenes are on tv or in a movie? Seriously! See if you can get a college dorm as soon as you get out of high school or go into the military if you need to gtfo and not get stuck in a job with barely enough pay to afford living arrangements. On a side note, at least they care and obviously care enough to pay attention to what is going on in your life.

I've always found that being a kiss up works wonders. Yeah bad, I know. Go ahead PUNish me with those down votes, I'm happy to take them.
