Today, my neighbours came to yell at me as they could hear my "shit music" through my window during the afternoon, so I turned it off. They then began to play their definition of "quality music" into the late hours of the night. I was listening to the Beatles. They blasted Nicki Minaj. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Doo doo doodoodoo doo doo
Today, I finally got tired of my neighbors constantly blaring their obnoxious rap music all hours of the day and night. Trying to be funny, I put Baby Shark on a loop and turned my speakers all the way up. They called the cops on me. FML
Metal
Today, I'm exhausted. My neighbours across the street had an argument about loud metal music. After a threat of, "Turn the heavy metal off or I’ll burn your house down," the music changed to Katy Perry’s "Firebird". For two hours. FML
Boom boom boom
Today, I finally had some alone time to relax and watch a movie. As soon as I pressed play, my neighbor started blasting their music so loud I could feel the bass in my chest. I tried calling the landlord, but they didn't answer. I ended up watching the movie with subtitles while listening to my neighbor's music. FML
Today, my neighbors discovered Gangnam Style. Ever since I moved in, they've had an obsession with getting wasted by noon and blasting out shitty music all through the evening. I could just about deal with their dubstep fixation before, but now I just want to blow my own head off. FML
Fake it til you make it
Today, to make my dorm neighbours think I'm popular, I blasted music and screamed at the top of my lungs so it sounded like I was having a party. My residence manager slapped me with a noise violation, and demanded to come in to make sure we weren't drinking. I had to explain why I was by myself. FML
MAKE IT STOP
Today, the people living below me have been blasting their music so loudly that I can hear every word as clear as day. The people next door think it's my music and feel the need to bang on the wall and blast their music just as loudly in revenge. I have two very important exams tomorrow. FML
Today, I was blaring the radio to drown out the sound of the kids in the apartment upstairs. They then started jumping in time with the music. FML
Today, I was singing in the shower, not realising the window was open. When I got out, the neighbours were at the front door, loudly arguing with my mother. They were complaining about my awful singing. FML
Today, trying to get some much needed rest, I heard my neighbors fighting loudly. When they finally quit, they left a DVD on, directly behind my wall: Spongebob, with the menu tune on loop. FML
Asshats everywhere
Today, I've suffered 3 months of my neighbor blasting his music so loud, it shakes my apartment floor. None of my noise complaints are ever followed up, but the moment I give him a piece of my mind, he calls the cops, and they threaten me with jail time over a few curse words. FML

Niki minaj isn't considered music. It should be prohibited by the Geneva convention.

It's okay. The same thing happened to me. My neighbors listened to 2chainz or whatever and I listened to Led Zeppplin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles... And Daft Punk.

I love daft punk... And the rest of the afore mentioned:)

So, about their new album... How excited are you?

Why did people say that the OP deserved it?

Because he was playing his music loudly enough for the neighbors to hear, I assume. I doubt anyone that clicked YDI actually LIKE Nikki Minaj... Right?

Even if my neighbor had the same musical tastes as me, I wouldn't go blasting it to the point they'd have to ask me to turn it down and I would hope they would show the same respect. Though in my younger days I was involved in a stereo war or two with neighbors who refused to turn their music down. Sometimes I hate being an adult.

Voting "YDI" on this post officially constitutes as forfeiting your soul.

I actually think it's both the neighbor's and Op's fault for playing their music too loud, but I chose FML anyways because the terrible music. I guess voting YDI isn't that bad for this one though, as long as it isn't because you're defending Nicki Minaji.

point well made. I stand corrected.

Fake music does not exist and good music is subjective, but they should respect your tastes as much as you respect theirs.

Let's see. Nicki Minaj is on American Idol, while Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are sitting at home. I see no problem with the neighbors' logic.

Just because they aren't attention obsessed and don't need to be in the spot light to feel better about themselves does not mean they aren't more talented than Nikki Manaj could ever hope to be.

#50, I don't know. It seems that being entrusted to develop the musicians of the future should correlate with the quality of your music. I mean, Simon Cowell's songs have saved my life!

Here comes the sun! Oh wait... They wish they could have this moment for life. Ugh.
