Today, my mom is convinced that my cat is the reincarnation of Vincent van Gogh. Why? He sleeps under my sunflowers and is a ginger tabby cat. FML

Does your cat miss an ear? If so, then give that cat a brush! Let the painting begin.

Logic at its finest!

Are you sure it isn't?

Hope it doesn't cut off its ear and isn't too aggressive..

If you see your cat dry-heaving, he's trying to pronounce his last name correctly.

As a person who knows the correct pronunciation of Gogh, I appreciate this joke lol. +1

Maybe I've been saying it wrong for all these years, but isn't it pronounced "go"? I almost feel like an idiot asking that..

It's actually not pronounced 'go', that is the way most English speaking people pronounce it but in Dutch it's a harsh g which doesn't exist in English. Kind of like a Scottish ch, but not quite :)

It's a dutch name, you pronounce it 'Van Gogh' the H is silent but the the g is pronounced, therefore the joke about the cat trying to say his last name.

GOG with 2 harsh G's, google translate can help for the sound. It actually sounds like you're gargling (or gurgling?). The harsh G is a very rare sound in modern languages. I'm sure Americans can joke about this.

Actually, not all Americans are uneducated. Undereducated are a whole maybe. But there is a difference. I was kicked out of an Art class for this exact topic once. Teachers dont like Smart asses.

Not sure why #20 was downvoted on that. Did people not check to see how his name is actually pronounced? I'm American and I knew this, though not at first. Are people that resistant to learning new things, even on FML?

Well now I know, haha. When I was in high school even the art teacher pronounced his name wrong.

I can just imagine if the world thought it were true and the cat became famous. Host of talk show: Vincent, what's it like to be reincarnated into a cat? Cat: ... *licks paw* ... *falls asleep*. Host: Wow, that's incredible!

Name him "Vincent VanGato"

You're painting your bedroom walls. The cat walks in and walks through the paint tray and tracks all over the floor. You get pissed at the cat for making a mess and your mother kicks you out for not appreciating Vincent Van Gogh's latest masterpiece.

Is there an ear missing and a bullet hole/scar in its stomach? If so then she's right...if not you have a normal cat...

Sounds legit to me!

Does your cat have a female kitty friend? Watch out for any ear-sized boxes exchanged between them. If he has any weird suicidal thoughts it'll be tricky, Van Gough's last painting was starry night. Yeah, so it could be any moment.

They shouldn't have let her out of her rubber room or white jacket
