The body would not undergo such an elaborate action with absolutely no purpose. Though the female ****** does not need to happen to cause pregnancy, it does play a role in fertilization. During a female ****** the vaginal walls secrete lubrication while the lower part of the ****** contracts, the upper section expands, and the cervix draws up to make room. Orgasms in both sexes work together to draw sprem, into the uterus. Also it is great motivation to propagate the species. We should be thankful we are social creatures and sex isn't just a stab in the abdomen, or sperm packets being rubbed on us.

This topic is actually one of those scientists are always debating over subjects. Many believe that it's just an evolutionary screw up, while others believe that it encourages partners to have sex; thus increasing the possibility of having offspring. No one really knows! Scientifically speaking, in order to get pregnant, no. Female orgasms don't matter, but for him to say that to you, as if your pleasure simply doesn't matter is extremely rude.
