Today, my girlfriend told me to stop saying "I love you" so much because it's starting to annoy her. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I told my girlfriend of two years that I love her. She replied, "Um, I don't mean to be rude, but can you just shut up?" FML
Today, my girlfriend asked me not to love her so much, so she doesn't have to try so hard to match my love for her. What the fuck? FML
Today, my fiancé tells me he loves me about 100 times a day. At first it was cute, but now it's getting really annoying. We can't have a conversation without him throwing in about 10 "I love you"s. I'm beginning to not want to talk to him anymore. FML
Today, my girlfriend yelled at me for breathing too much. FML
Sorry seems to be the harshest word
Today, my girlfriend has yelled at me multiple times for saying sorry too much. It's involuntary, due to me constantly being told I never do anything right growing up by my parents. She knows this, and is even then one who helped me realize this, and still yells at me for it. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I loved him. His response? "Is that why you have been so clingy and annoying lately?" FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because she heard me say "love you" on the phone. I was talking to my mom. FML
Smothered
Today, I wrote "I love you" on my girlfriend's Facebook wall. She completely freaked out and accused me of being "too clingy" and that I'm starting to feel more like a stalker than a boyfriend. FML
Today, my girlfriend tearfully complained that I was smothering her to death with my clinginess, and that I should learn to respect her boundaries. This is after she complained I wasn't giving her enough attention. FML
Misophonist or misogynist?
Today, my boyfriend said to me, in front of his friends, “Can you stop breaking out into song all the time? It’s getting really annoying.” FML

Saying any combination of words over and over can be annoying no matter how heartfelt they may be.

misserikahart, judging by your foul mouth and low class, the type of men you're with are only around long enough to utter the word "Thanks."

"I'm done with this matter tho" misserika, that's the best thing you've said all day. man, you are really full of yourself and it's annoying.

I mean ppl do overuse that phrase it's beginning to lose the meaning. look at it this way can you see yourself with this girl forever? make any possible change to make her happy? would you do anything and I mean anything just so she can smile for a second? if you said no to any of these questions then you're lying cause you dont love he anyway so just stop saying it period and see how she takes it.

That sounds like obsession or puppy love to me. IMO, mature love for another is coupled with an appropriate measure of love and respect for yourself, as well. There's something to be said for maintaining your independence in a dating relationship. Even in marriage, interdependence, rather than total independence or codependence, should be the goal.
