Today, my girlfriend of over a year broke up with me. Two weeks ago she complained that I didn't act like I really loved her. I then became more involved and caring just for her to show my love. The reason she broke up with me? Because I was "suffocating her with clinginess." FML

Today, I dumped my girlfriend because she frequently wouldn't answer my texts or phone calls, and not call or message back for days. I felt that bringing it up made me a control freak. I couldn't take it anymore. FML
Today, my girlfriend asked me not to love her so much, so she doesn't have to try so hard to match my love for her. What the fuck? FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I loved him. His response? "Is that why you have been so clingy and annoying lately?" FML

come on! Clingy isn't giving attention, clingy is demanding attention. Respect her boundaries AND listen to her and what she says. It's not hard! It's called a mature, loving relationship of equals.
