Today, my family and I are driving down to France and it's going to take 4 hours. If that wasn't bad enough, my mum decides that she is going to listen to the CD my sister bought her for Christmas on repeat for the whole journey. It's Lady Gaga. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, we started our 17 hour drive to Michigan for spring break. My mom decided to go to Target to buy some music CDs. All she bought was three Nicki Minaj CDs. She has already replayed the first CD four times. 14 hours to go. FML
Today, I'm driving with to Vancouver with my aunt. It's been four hours and she still hasn't gotten tired of her lone Nickelback CD yet. FML
Today, I was in the car going to a concert with my family. I was listening to my iPod, when the wheel broke and I couldn't change the song. So for the rest of the trip, I was stuck either listening to my parents arguing, or Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin on repeat. FML
Today, I had a 10 hour drive to Las Vegas with only 2 CDs, Taylor Swift and Jason Mraz, and my girlfriend who thinks she's a good singer. FML
Today, I made my mom a mix CD for her car. It took me ages to find just the right songs that would be perfect for her. When I played it for her in the car, she took it out and threw it out of the window. FML
Today, during a family road trip, my mom decided to spring a surprise conversion on us. This included screaming bible verses, blasting crazy gospel music and sobbing that we needed to repent before we’re all condemned to hell for eternity. She did this for 4 hours straight. FML
Today, after we drove to France to go to a jazz festival, we'd arrived in the evening after a 600 km drive, and my wife made a misstep and broke her ankle, it's the next day and we drove back home. After the first toll booth, the electric car window would no longer go up, so we drove with the window open for the remaining 500 km. FML
Today, my girlfriend will only speak to me using Lady Gaga lyrics. FML
Today, I had to endure a long drive from Poland to England. We weren't allowed to open our windows. My mum threw up. Twice. FML
Today, we drove six hours to get to our holiday cottage only to realise that my girlfriend had forgotten her suitcase. This put her in a bad mood, so she made ME drive six hours back to her flat to get it, then when I got there, I realised HER keys to HER FLAT were still in HER handbag six hours back at the cottage. FML

i really have on opinion on lady gaga, but i feel like the whole purpose of the fml was just to rag on lady gaga. honestly, nobody cares who the OP likes or dislikes, so stop begging for attention. also, you can use an ipod, cd player, whatever to block out the noise and listen to whatever you want. so yeah...get over it.

if you dont have an ipod or at the very least, ear plugs...that truly sucks. 4 hours of listening to music you hate feels more like 14hrs.

You have obviously never lived in North America. Try driving from BC to Ontario in three days (12-16 hours of driving a day), while listening to the Eragon series.

It sucks your listening to music you don't like, but at least you are with your families and are going to France. But I like Lady Gaga a lot so maybe I can't sense the depth of your hatred =)

I would be willing to sit in a car and listen to GaGa for 4 hours in order to go to France, but I'm a total Francophile. That said, I can sit in a plane or two for, like, 11 hours and be in France *sans* GaGa. I'd rather do it that way. :D OP, you have my sympathies, though, because I find her music to be really, extremely annoying, and being that you live in Europe already, France is not the magical journey for you that it seems to the rest of us. Totes worth the noise, IMO, though.
