Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom called me to tell me she'd got in touch with my ex for his birthday, and that the two of them had made a plan for us to get back together. My new boyfriend was in the process of proposing to me. FML
Today, my mom is marrying my ex boyfriend's dad. The same ex boyfriend who I caught cheating on me with my sister. Family gatherings are going to be such a joy! FML
Today, my ex-girlfriend proposed to me, at my wedding. FML
WTF Mom?
Today, I found out my little sister is marrying my ex, and that my mother set them up. FML
Victoria?
Today, I got married and my mom refused to be there because my dad, whose guts she hates, was there even though I promised repeatedly that I would keep them apart. I couldn't do the mother-son dance. She keeps insisting that it was a "lapse in judgment." Yeah, like we're really going to be able to have a do-over. FML
Today, my mother met my boyfriend. She thought it would be appropriate to tell him that he looks just like my ex-husband. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me to marry him. When I happily told my dad, he kept asking if I'd consider taking back my ex. FML
Accept it
Today, my mother refuses to acknowledge that I’m married because instead of a church, we got married outdoors in a lovely pagan ceremony (with a real marriage licence from the city council, obviously) and she keeps trying to introduce me to nice, single men from church. FML
Am I a joke to you?
Today, I received a wedding invitation. It was from my ex-girlfriend, who left me for my brother. FML
Birthday gift
Today, my mom thought it would be a good idea to bring my obnoxious ex to my birthday party. FML

After reading so many FML posts on how oblivious they are to other people's feelings, I think that mothers don't understand much about this rapidly changing society...

Rain is good luck for the happy couple. So I don't think she wants rain.

Well if he is friends with your mother it isn't your business op, but your mother was a bit tackles. Have a girly weekend away so you don't have to see it.

if she goes out, her room will be the honeymoon

A parent being friends with an ex is not ****** okay IMO, I've dealt with my girlfriends mom being friends with her ex and surprise surprise I was constantly undermined in my relationship because "I just wasn't good enough for her"

Quite frankly, we could all do with less tackles. Or more, depending on how you look at it.

I don't think she is old enough, she said "our house" implying that she lives with her mother, so it isn't her choice

I kinda want to do this to my kids. :P

I don't know how old you are, so maybe it's too late, but if it's not, please refrain from procreating, thank you.

I don't think your mom likes you very much.. or is completely oblivious to anyone's emotions.

I'm thinking that a high percentage of mom are either just dumb, crass or callous. Why offer if you know your daughter used to date the guy? You must be a bitch of a daughter or something OP. FYL Oh and for those who missed it, that last part, was sarcasm.
Bakarra 22
Holy **** I'm confused lol

dafuq did i just read....

The last line he put "you must be a bitch of a daughter" was the sarcastic part, nublets. It's not hard to figure out.

It was just weird he talks about the mom and then all the sudden it's like OH YOU BITCH OP, I understood it it was just strange is all

Maybe your mom hopes that the bride won't show and you'll have to take her place!

OUR backyard? Did she volunteer your services, too? Too bad you have a long get-away weekend scheduled... right?
