Today, my daughter-in-law taught my 4-year-old grandson to burst into tears and yell, "Am I not good enough for you?" whenever I ask her if she's going to have any more children. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Mommy's boy
Today, my awful future daughter-in-law went off on me and said that I'm just jealous that she's marrying my son and I'm not. Furious, I told my husband, expecting him to side with me, but all he said was, "Well… are you?" FML
#Childfree
Today, my mother-in-law asked me when my fiancé and I were going to start having children. When I told her we weren't planning on having any, she went on a tirade about how selfish and cold I am for denying her precious grandchildren. Now she hates me. FML
Happy Mother's Day
Today, I had my husband’s family over. Our adopted 4 year-old daughter drew a cute card and gave it to me saying, "Happy Mother’s Day mommy! I love you." My mother-in-law scoffed, "She’s infertile and not even your real mom, but ok." Now our daughter won’t stop asking all sorts of questions. FML
But now…
Today, my mother-in-law insisted we go to a baby clothing store. When I reminded her that I don’t want children, she sat on the floor, crying, kicking and screaming. She then said I was denying her grandchildren because I hate her. Well, I didn’t… FML
Today, my daughter apparently has had enough of my mother-in-law's favoritism and constant bashing of me by telling her, "Grandma, might I highly recommend death at this point?" She's 7. FML
Wise kid
Today, I had to give my four year-old daughter some tough love, which I hate doing. When she ran away crying, my son, her twin brother, looked at me and said, "You should be ashamed of yourself." FML
Ungrateful
Today, my three-year-old told me he hates me cause I’m mean because I wouldn’t give him another cupcake. Now he is calling his grandma his new mommy. FML
Little shit
Today, while at a family reunion, I jokingly asked my 18-year-old son, "When are you and your girlfriend going to give me a grandson?" He then retorted, "When are you going to die?" I was unable to answer at all. FML
Today, my 2-year-old daughter overheard my wife and I arguing and fixated on one particular insult my wife threw at me. Now my daughter won't stop saying "Daddy a numbnuts", always with a big smile on her face. FML
Not her fault nor mine
Today, my 4 year-old daughter got royally annoyed at my uncle who won't stop surprise tickling her by poking her waist. When he went for another, she punched him square on the nose, making him a laughing stock. Not accepting that he got owned, he started preaching about child discipline to me. FML

You all suck. You for being in her business. Her for getting the 4-year-old to bring it to your attention instead of telling you outright. The 4-year-old for fake crying. And your son for not having the backbone to get you all to cut the shit.

Totally deserve it! You shouldn't be asking her, let alone with the grandchild present. Sure you want another grandchild, but that is your son and daughter in law's private decision...it affects their lives way more than yours. Learn tact, and you won't have to go through that again.

Maybe you shouldn't push her so much , but that was kinda of funny, but I feel kinda of bad for the kid because he probably going to think it's true .

You ask her THAT MUCH? YDI. Mind your own business - problem solved.

To those that say the daughter in law should have told the mother in law to mind her own business, I did that with my mother in law. She didn't. Finally she RUDELY brought up us having more kids at a Christmas dinner 2 months after my 3rd miscarriage in 4 years (I had one child in those 4 years as well). I looked at her and said "Well, after 4 pregnancies in just under 4 years my doctors don't feel that I should continue trying. If YOU have an issue with it that's not my problem." while forcing myself to cry. This was the 10th time she had brought it up in 2 months. Keep in mind, she knew that it took me two years to get pregnant and she knew about all the losses. She just didn't care. To the OP . . . shut the hell up if you want to have any relationship with your son, daughter in law & grandson. Because I will tell you this, after that comment at Christmas dinner I flat out told my husband that was it & that if she commented again I would never see her again, and she would never see our son again because he obviously wasn't enough. You have no idea if they are dealing with secondary infertility, a medical issue that means she can't get pregnant for some reason. You have no idea if she had to have something done when she had the one child that took her fertility. You have no clue so shut the hell up. People like you need to shut your mouths. I say GOOD for your daughter in law!!!
