Once you get over the complete inappropriateness of it, that's kinda sweet... If being around death and grief makes him reach out for permanence with you, that just means he really wants to spend his whole life with you. Or he was just freaked out and being both awkward and impulsive.

it's actually a bad thing , but if you think about it , death makes us rethink our lives and appreciate more the people in it so maybe that's what happened to him , and he realized that he can't live without you and that you're too dear for him to lose.

A funeral's supposed to be a celebration of a life. Not the mourning of a death. Only recently did it become this huge super sad thing. The ancient Romans used to throw a party and give their dead food every year. Their dead were treated like the living. At a celebration of a life, he wanted to start a new one with you. I don't see a problem at all.

The mourning thing has not been too recently. There have been official mourners (paid to mourn the loss of someone) since BC times.
