Today, I was feeling really down, so I texted my boyfriend and asked him to tell me why he loves me, thinking he would cheer me up. His response? "Don't bug me with this stupid shit anymore. You always ask such dumb questions." FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me love is like a drug. I started tearing up because this is the most romantic he has been in a while. He then went on to break up with me, telling me that my "prescription is up". FML
Today, my boyfriend and I broke up. I said that at least I was always there for him when he needed me. He said "When did I need you?" FML
Today, I got into a huge fight with my boyfriend. I called him and started yelling at him over the phone. He told me that if I wanted to end the relationship I should just hang up the phone right then. Before I could say I still love him and don't want to break up, my phone battery died. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I loved him. His response? "Is that why you have been so clingy and annoying lately?" FML
Today, my boyfriend is blaming me for his recent diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. Apparently, I should have just kept on tolerating all of his explosive outbursts, instead of "forcing" him to start couples' therapy with me. FML
Today, my boyfriend called me and dumped me. Thirty minutes later he called asking for me back. When I asked why, he said "The other girl dumped me." FML
Today, after laying down to sleep, my boyfriend seemed like he was having trouble trying to say something. After asking what was wrong a couple of times, he said, "I don't want to do this anymore" and got up and left. I had planned on telling him I love him. Saved myself some embarrassment I guess. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend he's the only good thing left in my life. That's not a healthy relationship dynamic, he said, and ended up breaking up with me. FML

bipolar doesnt mean youre depressed. it means that you alternate between extreme happiness and extreme depression, with no control over your emotions. also, you can change from one state to another in a matter of seconds.

@ 149: You are completely wrong. There is a HUGE difference between going through life's normal "ups and downs" and suffering from bipolar disorder. Without bipolar disorder, you can take life's ups and down and your emotions react accordingly. With bipolar disorder, your emotions completely control you and and may have very little to do with what is ACTUALLY going on. Try living with that, and then say it isn't real! @OP, I'm so sorry. Bipolar disorder is a fluctuation of moods over a period (not in a matter if seconds) and is typically seasonal. Depression is when you fall into a deep state of sadness. Therefore you can can have both. Along with other diseases such as my father who has both of those diseases and anxiety disorder.

You are the true definition of an asshole. It's clearly a real thing and people with bipolar disorder can react much more extremely than the average person. There are both legitimate manic and depressive sides. You can even find brain scans to scientifically prove the difference between the brains of those with and without bipolar disorder. I myself have bipolar disorder (which hasn't been easy in the least) and am a psychology major. It is unarguably a real disorder. I don't wish it on anyone and the medicine, though helpful, is such an inconvenience. I wish I didn't need it, but I do. Everybody around me can confirm that as well.

Maybe he assumed that when the previous poster called OP "honey" he thought OP was a woman who'd been dumped by her bf, and therefore he pointed out that OP was a guy and not a girl, and therefore not straight. Plus OP's obviously not trying to hide that fact, or he wouldn't have listed his gender at all.
