Today, my 97-pound pitbull wagged and chased his tail while I was being mugged. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my fully grown, 90-pound German Shepherd sniffed and wagged his tail as a guy mugged me. FML

Today, I got mugged while walking my dog. He seemed to be OK with it. FML

Today, I was mauled by my own dog. I own a Chihuahua. FML
It's a doggy dog world
Today, my 175-pound rottweiler I've raised since a puppy watched me get jumped and robbed of my phone and money in my yard. An hour later, he hopped the fence and chased the mail man down the street after he leaned on the fence for a second. FML
Who's a good boy?
Today, my dog celebrated my coming home by slapping me in the junk repeatedly with his tail. FML
Today, I went for a run, and my own dog attacked me. FML
Beast Mode
Today, my 80lb black lab decided that the moment I start doing pushups is her cue to mount me. FML
Classic canine move
Today, I was walking my dog when another dog barked at him. My dog ran, pulling me with him. I fell to the ground in pain, with my hand still holding the leash. FML
Bad boy!
Today, I dog-sat for my neighbors' pitbull. Weighing in at 100 pounds with a nasty bite, this dog is no lap dog, but I treated it as one - not knowing how deadly this dog could be - beckoning it towards me with my hand. I now have 6 stitches in my hand and arm, and the neighbors didn't pay me. FML
Today, my dog decided to chase a smaller dog for three blocks. When I finally caught up with him, he laid down and refused to go anywhere. I had to carry my 80 pounds Labrador like a baby all the way home. FML

Knowing the way people are, if your dog actually did something, your mugger would probably sue you

Ugh, I hate thieves. At least they didn't hurt your dog. I hope you didn't lost anything irreplaceable.

OP didn't lose anything irreplaceable, that's how he got to write the fml.

There usually isn't a bright side to being mugged but in this case, there is. There are so many bans and restrictions on breeds (especially your boy!) that even a nip on the muggers hand could get him put down. My ex had an American staffy X bull mastiff and he was resricted, so when some Jehovahs witnesses came to our house, he barked like crazy and circled them so they couldn't move, I had to drag him inside just in case he did something because if he did, the council would have had him put down ASAP ( but seriously, who the hell sees a 53Kilo dog barking their head off with their hair standing up and tail on end and STILL unlatches the gate?!)

I'm sorry, but this comment totally made me think of Pokemon. "I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was..."

As horrible as it is being mugged and I am so sorry for you, it does show what a loving and playful owner you must be to have such a sweet-tempered dog.

Should have gotten a chihuahua if you wanted a guard dog. They can be very protective

Take that, people who push for breed bans!

It could have been worse. He could have bitten the mugger. Then you would have gotten sued for having an evil, vicious breed of dog, that eats babies, kittens, bunny rabbits, and attacks old ladies on ther way home from church.

Proof pit bulls aren't vicious! Also your dog is dumb as a sack of hair

If you got him to be a guard dog, you picked the wrong breed. A well bred and well trained pit bull will never be human aggressive, even to strangers.
