Today, I worked up the courage to give a guy my number. I wrote it down on a piece of paper, tore it in half and gave it to him. Later, I noticed I'd given him the wrong, blank half. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I looked in my pocket for the phone number of a girl I met last night at a party. I remembered us talking and exchanging phone numbers. When I found the piece of paper, I discovered that instead of writing her number down, I had drunkenly written down my own. FML
Today, I met a really cute guy at work. He asked for my number, and I wrote it down on a piece of paper. After looking at the paper, he crumpled it up, yelled "Do you think I'm stupid? I know the rejection hotline when I see it", and walked away. It was my real phone number. FML

Today, I asked a girl for her number and I wrote it down when she gave it to me. When I called her, it wasn't her. She'd given me a restaurant's phone number. FML
Booze confused
Today, I realized that I accidentally said my phone number wrong when I was giving it to a really smart, cute guy with all the same interests as me that I met at a bar last night. I'd had a few drinks and had gotten the middle three digits mixed up. FML
Today, trying to be smooth, I slipped the girl I like a piece of paper with my phone number written on it. A while later, she slipped it back to me and left the room. FML
Today, I finally found the courage to ask a guy I like out for a drink. He accepted, we drank, and when it came time to go home, I half-drunkenly left him my number. Once I got back home, I realized I'd actually given him my dad's number instead. FML
Today, a cute guy came up to me and asked for my phone number. I was super excited and began to write it down when he said, "It doesn't have to be your real number, I'm not gonna call anyway." I still gave him my real number. FML
Denied
Today, I wrote out a note to the guy I liked. I went to hand it to him, but he said, "Sorry, that's not mine," and walked away. I was so nervous, I couldn't speak. FML
Jot that down
Today, I wrote my phone number on a Post-it note and gave it to a cute girl at work. She immediately threw it away. In front of me. FML
Today, I spoke to my crush for the first time, and after a while he asked for my number. Ecstatic, I took the first piece of paper I saw out of my purse. I wrote it down and gave it to him, but he handed it back and said, "You might need this." It was an appointment card for my therapist. FML

The guy's probably awake half the night wondering why you gave him a blank page. You're inside his head now!

Track him down at a summer camp and put the pieces together. They will fit perfectly and you will live happily ever after.

Offft, thats a kicker, at least you know you can do it so next time repeat the process and just make sure the correct half is transferred.

Tell him it's written in invisible ink.

Hah! Imagine his reaction.. But don't worry, honest mistake. If there isn't any chance that you'll see or talk to him again, then there's always other guys. I wouldn't be too embarrassed/down over it. :)

Another reason why it's a stupid tradition that the guy should always call the girl.

¿Qué? What does the FML have to do with a 'stupid tradition'?

We all do stupid things when we're nervous

At least you had enough ovaries and gave a guy your number. It sucks you gave him the wrong piece of paper.

At least you wanted to give a guy your number. That never happens where I'm from...or maybe it's just me lol.

Well there's a way to not give your number to a guy you DON'T want to talk to, for future reference.
