Today, I worked up the courage to give a guy my number. I wrote it down on a piece of paper, tore it in half and gave it to him. Later, I noticed I'd given him the wrong, blank half. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I looked in my pocket for the phone number of a girl I met last night at a party. I remembered us talking and exchanging phone numbers. When I found the piece of paper, I discovered that instead of writing her number down, I had drunkenly written down my own. FML
Today, I met a really cute guy at work. He asked for my number, and I wrote it down on a piece of paper. After looking at the paper, he crumpled it up, yelled "Do you think I'm stupid? I know the rejection hotline when I see it", and walked away. It was my real phone number. FML
Denied
Today, I asked a girl for her number and I wrote it down when she gave it to me. When I called her, it wasn't her. She'd given me a restaurant's phone number. FML
Booze confused
Today, I realized that I accidentally said my phone number wrong when I was giving it to a really smart, cute guy with all the same interests as me that I met at a bar last night. I'd had a few drinks and had gotten the middle three digits mixed up. FML
Today, trying to be smooth, I slipped the girl I like a piece of paper with my phone number written on it. A while later, she slipped it back to me and left the room. FML
Today, I finally found the courage to ask a guy I like out for a drink. He accepted, we drank, and when it came time to go home, I half-drunkenly left him my number. Once I got back home, I realized I'd actually given him my dad's number instead. FML
Today, a cute guy came up to me and asked for my phone number. I was super excited and began to write it down when he said, "It doesn't have to be your real number, I'm not gonna call anyway." I still gave him my real number. FML
Denied
Today, I wrote out a note to the guy I liked. I went to hand it to him, but he said, "Sorry, that's not mine," and walked away. I was so nervous, I couldn't speak. FML
Jot that down
Today, I wrote my phone number on a Post-it note and gave it to a cute girl at work. She immediately threw it away. In front of me. FML
Today, I spoke to my crush for the first time, and after a while he asked for my number. Ecstatic, I took the first piece of paper I saw out of my purse. I wrote it down and gave it to him, but he handed it back and said, "You might need this." It was an appointment card for my therapist. FML

The guy's probably awake half the night wondering why you gave him a blank page. You're inside his head now!

Track him down at a summer camp and put the pieces together. They will fit perfectly and you will live happily ever after.

You can always try the "missed connections" on Craigslist. Sure, the odds that he'll see it are equivalent to the odds of you getting bitten by an albino wombat, but I say go for it!

Nothing to lose now!

Clever move! Now that you handed him a blank paper, he'll know you don't want him to call on the phone, but instead you want him to hunt you down physically. That often works, but it didn't for me and that girl from the Census.

I have been a member for awhile I recognize your name everywhere... I guess your losing your touch on the comments because I have been seeing you thumbed down a lot lately D: it's ok perdix I still love you

First of all, I'm not a suck-up. Perdix' comments are always extremely sarcastic, and for the most part I find them hilarious. However, I've noticed a lot of newcomers lately. Perhaps they simply aren't used to his humor?

Perdix should try stand-up, if he already doesn't.

Perdix fan here, too. Kids on FML these days don't even know what's funny anymore!

Yeah all the new guys seem like stuck up losers who don't like humor. Give them a while to get used to it. THEN we brainwash them

Hey, don't talk that way about our soon to be successors if you want FML to live on. People enjoy different kinds of humor.

Next time you see him, just explain it to him and make sure it's right.

Should've gone back and gave it to him. He would probably then knew how shy you are, girls being shy is cute:)

If you're too shy to give a guy your number, how are you going to become brave enough to actually speak to him if he were to call you? Next time, if you give a guy your number, wait around a few minutes to see his reaction to your note and hopefully he'll respond to your invitation right then and there. That's how many guys I know do it. (:

I'm not. Read it again.

Nah, you're both just ******* idiots, no two ways about it. BTW, nice to see you're posting something other than random song lyrics for once, Enslaved.

I don't understand why you tore the paper.

Poor piece of paper. T-T he got written all over, torn in half, then handed to a stranger.

Well now you will learn to double check everything. :D

If at first you don't succeed... You get the rest.

At least he will remember you now :)

Yeah as the girl who gave him some paper.
