Today, I went through my 15 year old daughter's internet history. On google she searched 'Excuses to get away from your dad' and 5 other variations of the same thing. We were supposed to be having a father daughter day tomorrow. FML

Today, I walked in on my 15-year-old daughter stripping on Skype for strangers. FML
Today, I looked through my daughter’s search history. Did I find porn? No, worse. At the age of 17, she has been looking up the definitions of commonly used words such as ‘arbitrary,’ ‘pretentious,’ and ‘initiative.’ FML
Today, I Googled my father, who I haven't seen in 3 years. The first website link was his obituary. When I confronted my mom about it, she said, "Oh, didn't I tell you?" and walked off. FML
Today, I went to my phone company and had my text history pulled. Why? Because a few days ago, my four year-old daughter told me that, "Daddy has a wife and a girlfriend." Turns out she was right. FML
Today, my 15-year-old birth daughter asked if I've ever had sex. FML
Today, my daughter decided to come out to me by leaving a browser window open with the results page of an online "Are you lesbian?" quiz. FML
Today, my 17-year-old daughter has been sending and receiving videos and pictures of a sexual nature. I just had to wade through a ton of middle-aged dick pics as evidence for the police. FML
Today, I had to take my 15-year-old daughter to remove the handcuffs her father had placed on her as a joke. He didn't know they were real. FML
Today, I got called into the school by my daughter's teacher. Apparently my daughter informed her class that over the weekend she spent her time with her daddy watching porn stars while her mummy was at work. It took a long time to convince her they were actually watching a TV show called "Pawn Stars". FML
Today, I asked my mom to help my daughter with Zoom school while I handled an emergency. When I got back, I found out my mom went through my laptop containing all my documents, my emails and even the journal my therapist suggested I keep. She says she was looking for a Zoom link. Yeah right. FML

Dads seriously don't get it. BACK OFF. You totally deserve it because you're invading her privacy! "I'm her father I deserve to know what she's doing" Yeah, well she's also a teenager, and teenagers tend to do what they want to do. Parents can go way too far my dad even made a mothertruckin myspace and a facebook and attempted to add me multiple times. He also read my private journal and walks into my room without knocking. Give the girl some space Gosh Darnit!

I feel sorry for you... it's terrible to see that. BUT. You should not have been looking through the history. =/ I'd hate it if I knew my parents were constantly looking at what sites I went to. I'd probably run away and some time at a friend's house until I cooled off.

Everyone that says YDI must still live at home. So defensive geez! The guy asks for some advice and you do noting but, ridicule and judge him. Karma - I hope you get treated better when you need a second chance in life. Checking websites is what parents are told to do by teachers - my gawd - it's not like he deserves to have his ass kicked. Show some effing kindness - Instead of trying to be helpful to a parent who obviously doesn't have a clue, many of you come off as self centered little creeps yourself.

i hate when parents stalk their kids that way! if u don't trust them then just tell them and they can possibly do something. u don't need to snoop and be a ******* ass hole to monitor your kids. it's like when parents friend their children on facebook or ready the kids txts. it's just ******* wrong
