Today, I got a letter back from the family I will be staying with as a part of an exchange program. Apparently they own a slaughterhouse type farm, and I'm expected to kill one of their animals and eat it as a gift from the family. I'm a vegan. FML
Today, I had a food allergy test done because of an ugly acne upswing, and after over a year of vegetarianism, I find out that I'm allergic to soy. FML
Today, I saw my mom sneaking meat into her spaghetti sauce. She told me she sneaks meat into most of the food she cooks. I've been a vegetarian for 8 years. FML
Today, I had a friend tell me all about how being a vegan was so great. They were eating eggs. FML
Today, my sister put a piece of leather in my homemade beef jerkey to prove a point. I ate it. FML

It truly baffles me how many people think gelatin would only concern vegans. Vegans do not eat milk, eggs, honey, or other things that are produced by animals. Vegetarians should not eat any part of an animal that requires the animal to be killed, not just meat. If you remove an animal's hooves and bones, you might as well eat the meat too, because it's going to be pretty dead.

wow. i've been a vegetarian for 4 years. you should probably do some research before hand. sorry you had to find out that way. and as for me being a vegetarian, i dont give 'meat eaters' crap for eating meat as long as they dont give me crap for being a vegetarian. the teasing really gets to the point where i want to punch someone until the pass out now when they give me crap. my choice doesn't affect them so they shouldn't care. you guys should think about that
