Today, I realized I was happy because we finally started having friends come visit us after months of not having company. I also realized that our secret stash of money was stolen last night while we had company. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, the police called because someone had turned in my wallet that was stolen. I happily drove home only to find that my house had been robbed and ransacked. FML
Today, I found out why I haven't been getting my bank statements for the past couple of months. My parents have been hiding them from me, because they've been stealing from it. FML
Today, I thought I was home alone. Likewise, my visiting grandfather thought he was alone. You can imagine the mutual surprise when I caught him stealing money from my sister's bedroom. FML
Today, after quite a long work day, I got home to find my house had been broken into. Everything but my sleeping boyfriend was gone. FML
Today, I was robbed while recovering from a robbery. FML
Today, I left a note on the kitchen table saying to leave the door unlocked because I lost my key. I come home to find our house ransacked and robbed. Minutes later, I found my key. In my pocket. FML
Today, my girlfriend's mother came over for a few hours. After she left I went to grab a drink, only to find that three bottles of expensive liquor were missing from our liquor cabinet. FML
Today, I went to visit a friend I hadn't seen in ages who lives alone out in the country. I arrived and found the front door unlocked but no one was home. I went in anyway and helped myself to some food. Then a family I had never seen before came in, and I realized it wasn't my friend's house. FML
Today, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to find that I had slept through my house getting robbed. FML
Today, I discovered my own mother has been stealing money from me for months when I opened my savings box to find it empty. FML

The exact same thing happened to me and I never found out who it was. I had $800 hidden in a crest whitestrips box in my bathroom where no one was even supposed to go...and I was half way through my whitening cycle!! My advice to the OP is to make a list of everyone that was over your house and eliminate people as they become unlikely as suspects. Unfortunately for me my list came down to two people and neither one would admit it. Next time put it somewhere inaccesable and find some better friends!
