Today, an old friend of mine refused to go to a movie with me. Turns out he was sitting in front of me with my girlfriend. FML
Today, I was watching a movie alone, after receiving a text from my boyfriend saying that his grandma was at the hospital, so he couldn't go with me. I caught him on a date with another girl, at the same movie screening that I went to. FML
Today, my best friend called me to cancel our mall plans. I could hear that she was watching a movie in the background. I then called my boyfriend to see if he was busy, and I could hear the same movie in the background. FML
Today, my girlfriend and I went to the cinema. Or rather, she went with her other boyfriend, and I happened to see them there. FML
Today, an old friend of mine texted me, saying we should hang out. I thought it was really sweet and was excited to see her again, until she realized that she was texting the wrong person, and canceled our plans immediately. FML
Today, after I invited my friend to a movie and she cancelled on me because she had to study, I obviously agreed and cancelled our tickets, I was scrolling through Instagram stories and came across hers, and saw she was with one of her friends in that same movie theater. FML
Today, I made plans with an old friend that I haven't seen in years. We agreed to meet at a diner and I told him I'd be standing outside. I watched him pull up, look right at me, then do something with his phone. Seconds later, I got a text saying, "Sorry, but I'm busy today and can't make it." FML
Today, I was going to hang out with the girl I like, because she was leaving for the rest of the Summer. She had to cancel to go shopping with her grandma "all day." At 1 o'clock, she came online and told me how much fun she had with this guy I really don't like. She forgot that she lied to me. FML
Today, I went to the movies with a girl I like, then we went to grab a bite afterwards. She spent most of the time telling me how much she dislikes my best friend because he hooked up with a new girl. I then found out the two had been "talking" for a while. FML
Today, I asked a buddy of mine if he wanted to go see a movie. He said he was busy, so I decided to go alone. Midway through, the couple behind me was making out and kicking my seat. I turned around, and it's my ex-girlfriend making out with my buddy. FML

Actually its not. It was not meant to slam gay people. It was meant merely to point out that terms like "wears the pants" and "has the penis in the relationship" are actually not true. While lesbians might not always rely on toys to pleasure one another, there is nothing wrong with stating that gay men both have penises and thus would both be the "men" in the relationship. The ignorance comes from people who feel the need to define power play in a relationship by genitals or male specific clothing. Because lesbians do not have penises and would have to rely on toys for certain bedroom play, the point would become invalid. I am sorry if you thought I was being offensive when really I was just pointing out the rather satirical belief that in this day and age heterosexual ideas of masculinity and domination have any place in the construct of relationships.

I've had situations like this where my friend only hung out with her boyfriend and I ended the friendship because it was always at the last minute she decided she wanted to stay home. I have also had friends who when I mention doing something with my boyfriend they want to come too or say "oh no problem I don't mind if he comes." Or they start crying because I am being a terrible friend and "hoes before bros." The situation with the crying friend was when my boyfriend showed up last minute to take me to a concert and the thing she had planned was going to the grocery store. I don't ditch friends who I make plans with unless its for something important--surprise tickets or my boyfriend (who lives out of town) comes back for a surprise weekend. She should have been straight with her friend.
