Think it'll effect your business?

Well now that you are single, maybe you could start doing like the Relationship Expert that I read about the other day and start having 3somes with your clients. Sounded like her business is going pretty strong :)

Stay strong, everything happens for a reason. Chin up in the meantime

"Everything happens for a reason" is one of the stupidest trite phrases around. Yes of course it does, cause and effect are fundamental aspects of reality. The window broke because the baseball struck it at a high velocity. The plant died because it was not watered. Just because there was a cause doesn't give any sort of relief of the emotional or physical pain or fatigue of the effect. Oh, your foot hurts because it's broken? That's ok it's only broken because it got run over. Stop using that phrase, if you want to say "it was (insert higher power here)'s will" that this happened then just say it.

The irony literally burns

Literally? Really?
blackonblight 33
According to the idiots at the dictionary, 'literally' now also means the exact opposite. Quantum language. Until the word is used in context, you do not know if it means 'actual, literal, true' or 'the person using this word is an idiot'.

Op, you can now counsel with a broader sense of experience , you can truly say you understand where your patients r coming from. Yes this situation really sucks for you, but you can now better help divorcees .

Just tell your clients that your husband use to beat you. Then they'll never question how good you are at this whole marriage game.

Well now you can probably relate a lot better to people?
blackonblight 33
Well, knowing that not all situations can be solved by staying together is part of your job too, right? Living in a failed relationship and in denial of it is far worse than admitting things cannot or will not improve and ending the relationship formally. Unless the divorce is due to wrongdoing on your part such as abuse or infidelity, rather than just incompatibility, this is just proof you know when to walk away.
