Today, I met a girl who's the whole package: brains, beauty, shared interests, great personality, single, and into me. Too bad I married my bitchy, depressive high school girlfriend who said she'd kill herself if I didn't. Sometimes, she still tells me she'll do it if we divorce. I believe her. FML

Today, my girlfriend's mom pulled me aside and started telling me about how her daughter was extremely depressed and suicidal before she met me, and how happy her family is because of me. I was planning on breaking up with her within the next week. FML
Today, I had a great time with a girl I liked. I asked her out and she said yes. She also said she cuts herself and if I ever broke up with her, I'll be responsible for her death. FML
Today, the girl who I had a desperate crush on in high school 25 years ago, and who would never go out with me, told me that she was actually head over heels in love with me, but was so cripplingly shy that she couldn't say yes. She's divorced now. I'm married. FML
Today, I have been dating an incredibly gorgeous woman. She had a poor self image and after the longest time, I finally convinced her to seek counselling to help her self esteem. It worked. So well in fact that she just broke up with me because she "finally realized she could do so much better" FML
Today, my daughter has been such a bridezilla that her fiancé actually dumped her. He treated her well, was handsome, and rich to boot, while still working at his career, yet she couldn’t calm down enough to see she was ruining her life. Now, after the breakup, she's moved back in with me. FML
Today, I was diagnosed with depression. My girlfriend's idea of consoling me was to break up with me because she can't date a "psycho". FML
Today, it appears that when in high school I made one of those "If we're unmarried at 35, we should marry each other" deals. Well, this afternoon she turned up at my house. I'm not married, but I have a pregnant girlfriend. She claimed a girlfriend doesn't count so our promise is still binding. And yes, she had the crazy eyes. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 3 weeks gave me an ultimatum: marry her, or she kills herself. FML
Today, I bumped into the bitchy mean girl who bullied me mercilessly throughout high school, leaving deep emotional scars. When I told my boyfriend who she was, he picked her up, carried her out of the store, and threw her into a puddle. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me for a girl he met through me. I shouldn't feel bad. Apparently, she's exactly like me, only much prettier. FML

dude, eff that. I was in the same boat. This is one of those instances where you HAVE to be selfish. If you don't have any kids, RUN RUN RUN! If she really is as crazy and depressive as you say she is, do you really want to have/raise kids in that type of environment? My ex wife was a nut job and I left her. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but I'm happier now. If I wouldn't have done that, I never would have met my fiancee/woman of my dreams. So just divorce her now. If you don't you're going to be miserable for the rest of your life.

wow you people are heartless. regardless of whether or not she means it or if shes being manipulative, no one has the right to be happy that she might end her life. ive been in this situation before and as hard as it is, you need to put yourself first. youre not in this for the right reasons. she needs to get help because even if she doesnt intend to kill herself, there must be some underlying issues there for her to even threaten it. you should talk to someone too. this has probably put a ridiculous amount of pressure on you and youre not happy in your marriage. i know when i was in your situation it made me feel worthless and like i wasnt good enough for anyone else. please consider getting help of your own. i really hope you have a good support system because regardless of what happens with your wife, you need people in your life for you....

If you leave your wife for this new woman, then at least 2 out of the 3 people involved would be happy. The third person (your wife) would have been unhappy either way. Besides, if you leave her, at least there is a chance that possible future changes in her life might help make her happy too.

Your wife is probably bluffing. Even if she's not, there's no sense in ruining your life (more) cuz she's crazy. I've had 2 gf's tell me they would prolly kill themselves if I broke up with them. I took that as my sign to break up with them immediately. Nothing of the sort happened, afterward. Now go get your groove back.

I dated a guy like that once. He said if we ever broke up he'd kill himself. I was afraid of him because he was a psychopath so i actually took my chances and broke up with him, and he's well and alive today. People who say things like that just want to show you that they love you.. I think; but it's in a very scary way and actually ends up showing the person they're saying these things to that they're ******' NUTS. Dump the psycho bitch and go for the perfect girl. :)
