Today, I got a text from a guy I hooked up with. I'm not really interested in him, so I rushed out of his house last night. He was letting me know I left my wallet at his house, and if I want it, I'll have to let him take me to dinner. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, while walking down the street, a cute guy approached me. We ended up having some drinks then heading back to his place and hooked up. Afterwards, I used the bathroom, and when I came out, he was going through his wallet and asked me how much he owed me. FML
Today, I went on a date with a guy, who decided to rudely text message his friend the whole time. When I got home, I realized he'd been texting the girl he was going to hookup with after our date; she happens to be my roommate. FML
Today, I went to dinner with an amazing guy. At the end he said he had to go to the washroom. 15 min later he was still MIA, so I figured he'd ditched me with the bill. I paid and left. 10 min later he texted me, asking where I was. Turns out he hadn't ditched me. He was having "stomach issues." FML
Ghost
Today, I texted the guy I went out with last night. He'd told me he’d text me when he got home, but he never did. Cracking a joke, I asked him if he was homeless or something, since he broke his word. He replied, “No, I’m just not that into you. Have a nice life.” FML
Today, I got a chance to have dinner and a movie with a girl I've liked for a while. I ran late, so in a hurry to make the movie, and trying to be smooth for her, I told the waiter I'd "take care of him" if he made it fast. He did. When he brought the check, I realized I had forgotten my wallet. FML
Today, I planned to go on a date with a man I met online. He came to my apartment to pick me up, and I told him I'd be right out as I grabbed my purse. When I got outside, he was gone. FML
Caught
Today, I went on a date with a guy. I lost interest in him quick, so I excused myself to go to the bathroom, hoping to make a run for the hills. As soon as I reached the front door, our server yells out, "I hope you’re not thinking about dining and dashing!" FML
Quickie
Today, the guy that I've recently became close to texted me, wanting to hook up. He's very cute and I was definitely interested, so I agreed. The drive to his house lasted longer than the actual sex. He lives less than five minutes away. FML
Today, after weeks of being hounded to go out on a date with this guy, I finally found the time and invited him over, fully intending to hook up. He stood me up. FML
Today, I was on a dinner date with a guy I really like. I guess I was on my phone too much because halfway through the date he sent me a text saying how much my half of the bill would be. FML

Not saying he's right or wrong for using her wallet as an excuse to go on a date with her, but she used him. She wasn't interested in him, so instead she used him for sex and probably toyed with his emotions, which is a very wrong thing to do.

Why did you hook up with him if you aren't interested?

Why is everyone asking this question? Can she not decide that she doesn't like him the day after? She has a right to change her mind, you know...

OP don't listen to the other hateful commentators. You are completely in the right taking charge of your life and sexuality as you see fit. The guy sounds creepy blackmailing you into a date, FYL indeed. That being said I can see how he might have interpreted things incorrectly (you leaving your purse as a sign of interest, as in you two had to see each again) although this does not excuse forcing a date out of you. However, the date may be an opportunity to ends things for good. You can meet face to face and you can tell him that you are simply not interested in pursuing things further. And on another note. I doubt any of the commentators would feel the same if the roles were reversed. I thought we are living in the 21st century where women had the freedom to choose sexual partners and no one has a right to judge her for it.

I'm pretty sure they'd feel the same if the roles were reversed, except instead of saying "bitch" they'd say "dick" or "douche"

Nobody has the right to deceive someone else in order to get sex from them. If it was the guy who'd pretended to be interested in her in order to sleep with her and then snuck out of the house afterwards, everyone would be saying he deserved it. Why should she be treated any differently just because she's a woman? Maybe this will teach her to be honest with people instead of using them. If she wants to just have casual hook-ups, she should be clear about that from the start and find a guy who's looking for that too.

Definitely disagree, 73. Commenters would be calling the girl a "psycho" and telling the guy to run while he can.

This comment should have more likes.

We do not know that she was using him at all - she said she left and didn't want more to do with him. He might not have felt the same way but you would think a hook up could be interpreted to mean just that. Maybe they should have talked about it if they hadn't already, but people are assuming she lied and said she wanted a relationship or something. I don't see that written in the fml, and yeah he seemed to think they were going further but why i that OP's fault?

It's entirely possible he assumed she left it to give him a reason to call her. And a full name to google to make sure she's not nuts. This is pretty much exactly the setup from dozens of RomComs and Sitcoms.

You're complaining? Really? He's being nice enough to give you your wallet whilist buying you dinner? Free food bitch

He should give the wallet back anyway. Getting the wallet back shouldn't hinge on going out to dinner with someone she decided she doesn't have interest in them. It's a shady thing to do, if anything he should've just offered to mail it back.

Why have sex with someone you are uninterested in? I feel bad for the guy.

YDI, for sleeping with a guy you're not interested in.
Clevelandians 17
Really? This guy is clearly just trying to be romantic. He's not actually going to keep the wallet if she says no. He's trying to be smooth. Clearly he thinks she's interested. The guy has done nothing wrong. She, on the other hand should just be straight up with him. This isn't an FML.
dcam13 19
um blackmail? weird technique to get someone to like you. but on the other hand you led him on by sleeping with him knowing you weren't interested. that's pretty shitty too.
interesting33 37
Most one-night stands are not people looking for a relationship I think. So the idea is you sleep with someone but you aren't interested in them romantically. And that should be clear when it is someone you just met. If it was a date then that is different.
