Today, I gave my husband an early Christmas present: Santa-themed lingerie. He got angry and called me selfish, for "using" him as an excuse to get myself nice stuff. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
It's the (saucy) thought that counts (or not)
Today, I surprised my wife with some new lingerie for our upcoming anniversary, thinking she would like it. Instead of a thank you, I got an ungrateful attitude from her instead. FML
Today, my husband still hadn't gotten me anything for Christmas, so I bought and wrapped my own presents. Then I had my husband write 'to me, from him' on them so that I won't be embarrassed in front of my family on Christmas when it comes time to open presents. FML
Today, I opened my Christmas presents with my husband. One of the things he got me was a ball gag. "Yeah," he said with a grin, "That one's more for me but I didn't wanna buy myself headphones." Cue our son asking me what it was. FML
Today, I gave my wife a $900 necklace as a special Christmas gift. She gave me a set of Star Wars pajamas. As it turns out, I was more excited to wear my gift than she was to wear hers. FML
Today, I wrapped my boyfriend's Christmas presents for him, because he was too lazy to do it himself. This included my own present. FML
Valentine's truth
Today, I got my husband his favorite candy and wine for Valentine's Day. He got mad and accused me of doing it to "bribe" him into bed, since he hasn't been wanting sex lately. When I asked how he could say something so cruel, he admitted that he's been cheating on me, and my gift made him feel guilty about it. FML
Today, my husband came home with a Christmas gift from a coworker. It's the same thing I got him. FML
Keeping up appearances
Today, just like every other celebratory day (like my anniversary or birthday) I ordered my own Christmas present. My husband doesn't get it. I tried to explain. He openly admits he has no idea what I like and has no interest in learning, but wants me to have something to open so he won't look bad. FML
Today, I was trying to get my boyfriend in the mood so I held his hands against the bed, and whispered, "Have you been a bad boy?" Thinking he'd say something kinky back, he replied "Yes Santa" then burst out laughing. FML
Today, I received from my husband for Christmas the body lotion that only he uses. And nothing else. FML

I read this out loud to the man in my kitchen that i've lived with for 5 years. He laughed himself into tears and said that this dude probably wanted something specific. So really, he's the selfish one. Oh how terrible.

Did you wear red lingerie with a white fur trim... or lingerie with lots of fat bearded old men on the design? Because one is sexier then the other.

Her gift was for the both of them, so if she returns it for something just for him, he may be satisfied, but what about her? Not so smart of him, because now he's off the 'get naughty' list for next year!

he probably got something for her, and then she got something for her as well. that explains why he's mad...

There are many possibilities. She said 'an early Christmas present' not 'Today, I gave my husband his Christmas present early'. There could have been more than one gift. In the other case, they should know what the other person wants by now, they're married.

Yeah cause buying Santa lingerie was nice stuff for you. You wouldn't have bought something else at all.

If he already told you about a traumatizing experience he had as a child involving Santa, then yes that was pretty ****** up on your end. Otherwise, next year, to save you from tears, give it up to someone special!!

Probably going to get thumbed down for this, but that's kind of a lazy gift. It sort of seems like you didn't really put much thought into it, you just assumed that, as a man, he would love your sexy underwear. "Hey look, I bought myself some sexy underwear that may or may not turn you on" is a little more selfish than "Hey look, I bought you this book by your favourite author" or something similar. The fact that he reacted badly to it kind of shows that he isn't one of those men that would enjoy a gift like that. Plus, sex isn't really a gift considering it's for both of you and (I'm assuming here, sorry if I'm wrong) it's not like he only gets it at Christmas. I'm assuming it's sort of a thing for all seasons? Saying that though, I guess it depends how much thought he put into your gift or how he's reacted to previous, sex-related gifts.
