Today, I finally found out that the tattoo on my lower back means "slut" in Chinese, instead of "good fortune" as I always thought it did. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that the phrase I got tattooed on my lower back is misspelled. FML
Today, I found out the tattoo symbolising my marriage turned out to be more permanent than the marriage itself. FML
Today, I finally got a tattoo of an alchemy symbol that I've wanted for years. I also found out later that symbol stands for urine. FML
Today, I found out that the loving nickname my Chinese mother has been calling me my entire life essentially translates to "little retard". FML
No ragrets
Today, I showed my new tattoo to my friends. It's supposed to be a deep, philosophical quote in Latin, symbolizing strength and resilience. My friend, who happens to be fluent in Latin, started laughing hysterically. Turns out, it actually says, "You are dumb." FML
Inked
Today, I got my first tattoo. It's a large broadsword which runs the length of my spine. I went home to show it off, only to learn that the hilt on my neck looks just like a penis when the rest of it is covered with my shirt. FML
Great idea
Today, I got piss drunk. Being a tattoo artist, I came to the intoxicated conclusion that I could save much more money doing my own tattoos on myself. I now have my ex-boyfriend's name permanently on my thigh. It's not even spelled right. FML
Today, I realized that the "holla" tattoo I stupidly got on my lower lip five years ago isn't fading as I expected it to, and will probably contribute to my unemployment for years to come. FML
Bad omen
Today, I was at a Chinese restaurant with my boyfriend and his family. After the meal, we all decided to open our fortune cookies and read them out loud. On mine, it said "You will change your mind many times before settling down." I didn't realize what it meant until after I'd read it to them. FML
Today, my boss asked me if I know anything about those tattoos that girl put on their lower backs. "You mean Tramp Stamps?" I responded. He looked at me with hatred in his eyes and said that his 18 year old daughter just got one. FML

Well you could make a good fortune being a ****! They don't call it a tramp stamp for no reason!

You should get "stupid" in Chinese above it. Then your life would be complete

Hey some of my best tattoos were done in prison with a rusty coat hanger lol. Now if only I could do something about that wicked case of tetanus.

Let me guess, you started seeing an Asian guy and he was the one that told you to get it done? Just think about all the other Asians that will/ have seen it and the laughs they had after... YDI!

Maybe that tattoo artist was simply stating his opinion in a way that will teach you a lesson. "Good Fortune" usually isn't the result of a tramp stamp. And you'll never forget that lesson now that it is permanently inscribed on your skin forever. Unless you have a very expensive and/or most likely painful way of ridding your lower back of that Chinese curse that you so willingly accepted, oblivious of it's true meaning.

Well, it is possible she could get a cover-up, depending on the size of the symbol & the colors used. Cheaper & less painful than laser removal.

It's a good fortune for the dude who's about to **** you. Still, my favorite lower-back tattoo is the downward-pointing arrow labeled INSERT PENS HERE.
