Today, I'd had it with my mom's addiction to weed, so I told her to choose between me or the weed. I'm currently looking on Craigslist for an apartment. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom told me she's a drug addict, sold my bed to buy meth, and then lectured me about how I should be okay with it. FML
Today, my mom found my weed stash and went berserk, grounding me and saying she's going to have my bedroom door removed. Less than an hour later, I found her laughing and smoking the same stash with my dad in the backyard. FML
Overreacting much?
Today, I came from a 12-hour shift to find my clothes and stuff outside, and the locks changed. I called my mom to let me in and she told me, “Hell the fuck no, I’m not having a drug addicted junkie up in my house! You’re no longer my daughter!” and hung up. Apparently, she found my stash of weed. FML
Today, my crazy drug-addict mother kicked me out of the house after siding with my crazy, drug-addict aunt, who'd just threatened to slit my throat. FML
Today, my mom called me a druggie after she found out I smoked weed once. She's now threatening to sell my car, tell my boss, and ban me from seeing my fiancée. I'm 24. FML
Don't go
Today, my mother told me she thinks it is time for me to move into my own place. I agreed with her and went to look at studios/flats online. She later came into my room, saw me looking at places and then got pissed off at me, saying that I hate her for wanting to leave her. FML
Smoke 'em if you've got 'em
Today, my mom told me she was getting tired of the smell of marijuana in the house. So I confessed and told her I'll never bring it home again. She was talking about my neighbors. FML
Today, I found out my roomie has lost her only source of income. This means I'm responsible for all the bills and the rent. I would kick her out and get someone else, but she's my mother. FML
Why mother, why?
Today, my mother yet again chose to put my brother's junkie of an ex-girlfriend's needs and happiness above mine, despite the fact that she's stolen thousands of dollars and anything else of value from my mom's house. FML
Drugs are bad
Today, my pill-popping mom, committing disability fraud and stealing from me, called the cops on me, and dragged the landlord into it, is now getting both of us evicted. All this because she'd rather live homeless with her drug problem than to get the help she needs, which I can't provide anymore after 10 years. FML

Yes, like letting her adult children live at home rent-free while they hassle her about her fun habits.

While it is true that you aren't addicted to the actual chemical THC in marijuana, you can become "addicted" to the effects it creates. Here's a really crappy example: you don't become addicted to being held at gunpoint by muggers, but you can get addicted to the adrenaline rush, so to get your fix, you'll walk around seedy parts of town with money hanging out your ass to get that rush again.

I think it is good that you are finally taking a stand. Hopefully after a while it will hit her hard how you are out of her life now and change.

Weed is nit that bad if you do it every day then ya but alcohol is alot more worse
juliaaalove 8
Your point would be more understandable if you were grammatically correct and if your spelling wasn't off.
ohSNAPyall 27
42 here's a grammatical correction for you: When using conjunctive mood ("if" statements), you'd need to say "were," e.g. "If your spelling weren't."
docscientist 10
So this is what you can do with an English degree, cool.

I'm only
blazingdaily 3
I'm only two years older than this illiterate fool! It sickens me to see so many people around my age unable to string such a basic sentence together without making numerous mistakes, all of which my younger brother could correct!
guitarbeast 22
You need to stop whining, weed isnt that bad for you, and if it helps your mom you should be supportive, or atleast ignore it
ninjuh_wingman 29
You're less important than weed. Your mother either doesnt care about you that much or she just really loves weed.
blaablaa_fml 5
OP is probably already past the age when his/her mother doesn't have to shelter them anymore.
crw817 3
You can't get addicted to weed.
andrealovvve 17
Good, someone understands!
crw817 3
People are idiots
bmpro 0
I don't know what there is to "understand".... It's called addiction...
misvenus000 4
Really, just stop talking...

Damn you must be a real asshole if your mom picks you over some bombin dope! Haha you suck!
teague95 16
Or the mom's an asshole for choosing "bombin dope" over her own child.
McZachEnstein 2
Hey there was a reason for the mom to choose bud over her Kid. Simple they are an asshole! And quit being an asshole and just say bombin dope with me, come on bomb-in do-pe! Haha
teague95 16
priorities man OP's mom doesn't have hers straight
McZachEnstein 2
Why cause her kid is a dick and she choose weed! The kid is probably just bitching and mom is ******* with them! Haha
THE_A_TEEN 28
McZackEinstein, you are probably the biggest, dumbest stoner on this thread, and a jackass. Assuming the op is an asshole that deserves to be kicked out because her mom is using weed and an excuse for you to spread your bullshit, means I can make fun of you for being a douchebag stoner moron. Gee, isn't assuming fun...
McZachEnstein 2
I never said she should have kicked them out now did I, I just said the op was an asshole for sounding like an asshole now also who said I am a stoner cause I never stated it! You have your opinions even tho they sound like your an asshole! I bet you're an angry asshole! Are you worried about not getting an iPad for Christmas?! Haha
blazingdaily 3
Come on guys... There's no need to argue... Just blaze up if you like the stuff or have a coffee or something if you don't... Peace brothersss

In my opinion, smoking is no way to relieve stress. I'm stressing over college and high school at the same time because I dual enrolled, I have parents that fight and yell at each other, and my own physical health to worry about. My stress relief? TALKING to someone, like my boyfriend. If weed is the only way for you to not be stressed or to be happy, then that IS an addiction.
SammyS2012 21
I also have chronic back pain because of surgery I had when I was 13 I still wouldn't rely on weed to keep the pain away
dylanmurre 4
No. An addiction is when you cant stop doing something. For example. Cocaine or meth all of thoughs chemical drugs are addicting. Weed is a natural herb that grows from the ground. and it is not addicting AT ALL. I wouldn't even classify weed as a drug.
lucyinthesky420 10
Or instead of being a baby about the safest "drug" out there, you could hit the bowl & stay with your mom. Marijuana opens you up to your inner self, there's absolutely nothing wrong with smoking the herb.
crw817 3
Hell yeah!!!
Shadow_Phantom 26
Yeah, nothing wrong with the fact that my ex couldn't breathe well, after smoking it for a few months; or the fact that he can't remember anything worth shit. Or the fact that he could get arrested at any moment just for having it in his hand. *eyeroll*
lucyinthesky420 10
Um maybe he was allergic? Not everyone can smoke it. Asthmas plays a factor too. It soooo bad for relaxing you and making you hungry... And it's illegal bc the world is anal about anything good. It's better than tobacco that's forsure, healthwise too. You might wanna get that eye rolling checked out...
lucyinthesky420 10
As for memory, it's his own fault he cant handle weed's badassery.
McZachEnstein 2
Your ex must be like mentally Handicapped or just can't handle their weed or you are just lying! Hahaha
docscientist 10
41 - him forgetting your birthday wasn't the weed.
xXRiah_GirlXx 9
If its pure weed, yeah. If it has ecstasy or LSD in it then it's a problem. There's no telling what OP's mom was smoking.
ImaginaryFoe 1
Bollocks to you and every other pothead on here who seem to have smoked away your abilities to reason. You don't know every smoker in the world so stop parroting that crap about "it just makes you chill and mellow". That's how it affects YOU, not everyone. I know burnt out smokers that may never be able to function on their own. I've seen families destroyed and health deteriorated because of weed. Also, not one of the pro-green posts have been intelligent. You're why the legalise movements don't get far.
horneyhic 15
Accually the big drug companies are why legalize movements don't work who would ever buy oxy or Vicodin if a safer far less addictive cheaper drug was easily available at ur local convience store
SammyS2012 21
No. It does not "open up your inner self", it lowers your inhibits... That means you do things you wouldn't normally do. The sense of right and wrong can be blurred with marijuana
fo_86 0
Your ex is just naturally an idiot. It has nothing to do with weed.
gangstamittenz 5
Well, it's legal in your home in Alaska, it doesn't affect my memory and my breathing is fine. *eye roll*
jizzwold 21
I'm getting sick of all this bickering.
lucyinthesky420 10
Have you ever smoked weed? Sure doesn't sound like it... You're speaking of alcohol my dear. Smoke some, and let's see you "do something you normally wouldn't". Which would be eating an entire bag of chips....
barleyguy 17
Weed is not addictive by definition addiction is when you have withdrawal symptoms when you quit weed does not cause any symptoms at all, and why exactly is weed bad?
Shadow_Phantom 26
I'm sorry but, that's one of the stupidest arguments ever. ANYTHING can be addictive; it doesn't have to be a drug.
iRuleUdrool 4
Anything can be a HABIT, not an addiction.. If she was to quit she wouldn't die or get sick.
lucyinthesky420 10
So mashed potatoes are addicting? Wrong. Anything else would be considered OCD... Lawlllll.
Stottsy 0
ANYTHING CAN BE ADDICTING... Let me explain it to you this way, there are withdrawal symptoms form even the slightest things, say a person runs every day and it makes them feel really good, one day they forget to run and they're depressed the rest of the day, that qualifies as a withdrawal symptom
chunkalicious 7
That's funny, because I smoked for 2 years and stopped for a year BECAUSE I COULD. Even though it's less addictive and harmful than cigarettes and alchohol, but you go ahead with your stereotypical, hypocritical thoughts.
iRuleUdrool 4
I smoked from the age of 14-20. I quit almost a year ago very, VERY easily. Just because I wanted to. It's def not an addiction or I'm an alien.
THE_A_TEEN 28
How the hell is she being hypocritical? I don't see any statement contadicting another statement on her fml. Dumbass...
chunkalicious 7
I didn't necessarily say the person who posted the FML, did I? I said it because everybody thinks weed is harmful but yet they'll drink and smoke tobacco.
