Today, I'd had it with my mom's addiction to weed, so I told her to choose between me or the weed. I'm currently looking on Craigslist for an apartment. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my mom told me she's a drug addict, sold my bed to buy meth, and then lectured me about how I should be okay with it. FML
Today, my mom found my weed stash and went berserk, grounding me and saying she's going to have my bedroom door removed. Less than an hour later, I found her laughing and smoking the same stash with my dad in the backyard. FML
Today, I came from a 12-hour shift to find my clothes and stuff outside, and the locks changed. I called my mom to let me in and she told me, “Hell the fuck no, I’m not having a drug addicted junkie up in my house! You’re no longer my daughter!” and hung up. Apparently, she found my stash of weed. FML
Today, my crazy drug-addict mother kicked me out of the house after siding with my crazy, drug-addict aunt, who'd just threatened to slit my throat. FML
Today, my mom called me a druggie after she found out I smoked weed once. She's now threatening to sell my car, tell my boss, and ban me from seeing my fiancée. I'm 24. FML
Today, my mother told me she thinks it is time for me to move into my own place. I agreed with her and went to look at studios/flats online. She later came into my room, saw me looking at places and then got pissed off at me, saying that I hate her for wanting to leave her. FML
Today, my mom told me she was getting tired of the smell of marijuana in the house. So I confessed and told her I'll never bring it home again. She was talking about my neighbors. FML
Today, I found out my roomie has lost her only source of income. This means I'm responsible for all the bills and the rent. I would kick her out and get someone else, but she's my mother. FML
Today, my mother yet again chose to put my brother's junkie of an ex-girlfriend's needs and happiness above mine, despite the fact that she's stolen thousands of dollars and anything else of value from my mom's house. FML
Today, my pill-popping mom, committing disability fraud and stealing from me, called the cops on me, and dragged the landlord into it, is now getting both of us evicted. All this because she'd rather live homeless with her drug problem than to get the help she needs, which I can't provide anymore after 10 years. FML

While it is true that you aren't addicted to the actual chemical THC in marijuana, you can become "addicted" to the effects it creates. Here's a really crappy example: you don't become addicted to being held at gunpoint by muggers, but you can get addicted to the adrenaline rush, so to get your fix, you'll walk around seedy parts of town with money hanging out your ass to get that rush again.

I don't understand why people have such bad feelings towards weed. its used for MEDICINAL PURPOSES. if anything alcohol is much worse than marijuana. take a look at the statistics showing how many people die in a year from alcohol related reasons than match that against how many people die from marijuana related reasons. in my personal experience I've NEVER heard of anyone dying because they were smoking some weed.

Marijuana is one of those issues nobody agrees on. Personally it does not affect me the way it does everyone else. Therefore, I can see why it is illegal and I hate it. If I were you I would have called the cops on her and asked that she recieve help. No one should ever chose anything over their children... especially getting high.

Its physically impossable tobe addicted to weed. It has nothing addictive in it. All yall need todo some research! Weeds not a drug its a plant. "Weed's not a drug, it's a plant." Are you serious? So is tobacco, genius. You CAN become addicted to weed - there is a difference between a chemical addiction and a psychological one. Furthermore, marijuana does not "cure cancer" or any other disease; it just aids with the nausea that comes from undergoing chemotherapy, except for in the cases where it actually makes tumors worse. As it happens, pot has actually been linked with damaging DNA in a manner that increases the risk of cancer. Just FYI.
