Today, I brought home my 3D glasses after a movie. I had a laugh about it until I realized that I put my $100 sunglasses in the recycle box outside of the theatre instead. FML

Today, I went to get a facial. I forgot my contact case so I put them into paper cup. My beautician thought it was leftover water from someone else, and threw my only pair of vision aid away. I scuttled home half blind. FML
Today, after buying a new pair of prescription glasses, I went to the beach. The ocean now has a new pair of glasses. FML
Today, I went to go soak my dentures because I fell asleep wearing them last night, only to find that my boyfriend threw away the container they were in, thinking it was trash. FML
Today, I was out walking my dog. After he took a dump, I went to pick it up but my glasses fell right in his poop. I didn’t have tissue, just the plastic bag. FML
Today, I went to a movie with my boyfriend. In the lobby, I asked why the glasses were not working. I said, "Do they only work inside the theater?" My boyfriend replied, "3-D glasses just work inside the movie, everything else in the World is pretty much 3-D." FML
Today, I made a half-hour bike ride to the movie store, only to realize I'd forgotten my money. I made the ride back home, grabbed my money, went back to the store, paid, then made a second ride home. I got home exhausted, and opened the case. They gave me the wrong movie. FML
Today, I inadvertently gave passers by the middle finger as I tried to stop my glasses from sliding off my face. FML
Today, I opened my new contact lenses for the first time in a month and accidentally dropped one, only to watch it disappear helplessly down the drain. Give a name to the situation. FML
Today, I got into the shower with my glasses on by mistake. I spent 5 minutes convinced that the fog in my vision was me going blind. FML
Today, I couldn't find my reading glasses, thinking perhaps i'd dropped them outside, I stepped off my deck bare foot, straight into a steaming dog turd. Only to see my glasses chewed up a few feet away. It went between my toes. FML

81-- prescription sunglasses can easily run between $200-300, not to mention the hassle or additional cost to replace them depending on one's insurance.

Most of prescription glasses are nowhere near 200 mine were £30 + lenses you're just expensive! And to the 5-10 sunglasses they work better than the expensive ones! (In the UK)

I can not understand why to bring sunglasses to the cinema in the first place.Ok, maybe outside of it, but during the movie? Why not put them in their case esp. if they were that expensive?

Agreed. It's not like the old school glasses that were paper and had two different colored lenses. These new glasses, especially in the dark, could easily be mistaken for real glasses.

When I was around 5 years old or so, my dad took me to a zoo and I threw his expensive sunglasses in the elephant habitat. Totally unrelated, but this FML just reminded me of it. I was a nasty little kid.
