Today, for the first time since my partner moved in with me, I did one of my favourite things: I bought some nice cheese and a bottle of wine and went on to People of Walmart, just as I do every month or so. He called me a disgusting human being and went for a walk two hours ago. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Touch crowd
Today, I got home from work and was immediately greeted by my wife following me around, moaning and complaining endlessly. I got so fed up that I went into the fridge, cut some cheese, and gave it to her, saying, "Some cheese to go with the whine." She broke the plate over my head. It was worth it. FML
Today, I went to the store to get Valentine's Day gifts to decorate my boyfriend's and my new apartment. He was there shopping with his wife. FML
Synchronize your watches
Today, I texted my partner that I was “on my way.” I then sat on the couch doomscrolling for another 25 minutes. When I finally left, I ran into him in the parking lot, holding groceries, staring at me like I’d just lied for the fun of it. FML
Good luck
Today, I went home with the guy I’ve been casually seeing. His place was a disgusting pigsty so I made an excuse to leave. Later he texted me, ending things. Online I saw him bitching about how no one can pass his “girlfriend test” and that a real woman would happily clean for her man. FML
Today, after a stressful week, I spent my last few dollars on some comfort food. Later, my roommate's girlfriend came over and helped herself to my juice, drinking it straight from the bottle. I'm such a germaphobe, I can't bring myself to even take a sip. It's a full bottle. FML
Boozehounds
Today, my fiancé refused to talk to me because I'm "an alcoholic". I only started drinking like this after we moved in together and he brought me alcohol every day, because he's an alcoholic. FML
Today, my girlfriend came over, drank half a bottle of Jack Daniels and pissed in my sink. I broke up with her and went out with friends. I met a woman and brought her home to watch a movie. She drank a bottle of wine and puked on my couch. FML
Caked and baked
Today, I came home to my drunk husband, to find that he raided our fridge and freezer to soothe his beer munchies. That would have been fine, had he not eaten the top tier of our wedding cake I'd been saving to eat on our first wedding anniversary, which is in 4 days. FML
Today, I once again walked in on my husband eating our cat's food. FML
Never felt more lonely
Today, I was in my local supermarket's frozen aisle and I started doing a little dance of joy because my favorite ice cream was on sale. I turned around to see my ex and his new girlfriend watching me. FML

It could be a lot worse. Like a worse site

He was probably disgusted by the pairing! Nice wine and cheese is what goes with watching MILF **** or cat videos. Clearly, PoW, calls for cheap beer and meth. Get it right!

He probably went to Walmart.

Just the fact that you purposely go on people of walmart would have me calling you disgusting and leaving for awhile. The fact that you also get out the fancy wine and cheese to feel even more superior would have me pack and leave and never come back.

I'm surprised people actually still look at that stupid shit nowadays.

Yeah, I'd be gutted too if I found out someone I was dating liked that trainwreck of a site. I wouldn't knowingly date someone who chooses to denigrate strangers that way.

It appears, from some of the comments made, that some of you FML'ers don't see that PoWM and FML fall in the same category of 'voyeuristic humor at the expense of others'? Now that, that is truly funny.

Actually, it's very different. FML we are laughing at people who said "haha I did this stupid thing". People of Walmart is laughing at people who never wanted to or agreed to have pictures of themselves posted online.

Yeah, in essence, People of Walmart is the biggest invasion of privacy I've ever seen.

The reader/viewer is finding humor in the misfortune of others = same category. An argument could easily be made that FML is more 'degenerate' than PoWM in that often we are finding amusement in the posters victimhood...not just there superficial 'fashion' choices in a public place.

People of Walmart Stats. Over 6 million visitors per month. Traffic 85% from the U.S. Majority of visitors, 18 to 34. Over 700,000 Facebook fans.

Except they're not? on FML, people send their own misadventures or those of friends and family, written in an humoristic way in order to cheer other people up or just to vent. When you laugh at the stories, you're not degrading whoever shitty stuff happened to. On PoWM, most people get their pictures posted online to thousands of viewers without their consent, just so everyone can have a good laugh at them. I don't think this can compare.

it sounds like you guys need to communicate better and you should probably look into why you enjoy that so much. it's harmless sure but usually shows evidence to personal issues, such as insecurity etc. this isn't saying you're a terrible person or anything but believe it or not people with a healthy mentality do not get pleasure at others expense. all the best OP,
