Today, my father-in-law announced the name of his new son, my husband's half-brother. The first name and last name is the same as our son, who I gave birth to 4 months ago. FML

Today, after I'd ordered a birthday cake with my name written on it, I went to pick it up but the bakery messed up and wrote the name of the person who ordered one right before me. I stood at the party smiling while everyone congratulated “Kevin.” I am not called Kevin. FML
Today, I introduced my first serious boyfriend to my mother over dinner. He is Asian. My mom insisted on calling him "Ching Chong". His name is Kevin. FML
Today, I found out that I'm named after my dad's favourite drink. FML
Today, I found out I was named after the woman my dad was having an affair on my mom with. FML
Today, I found out that my wife named our son after her ex boyfriend. FML

Today, I discovered that my name literally means "burden". This wouldn't be so bad if both my mother and father knew this when they named me. FML
Today, the paternity test came back. It's like I suspected all along; my "son" is actually my half-brother. FML

now the real question is how did your dad react? Did it happen in some nutty 3-way thing, or are do your parents have an open relationship? I can understand that this would definitely be really hard to take in, but hey, you've got a new brother!

Well that really sucks OP. I hope that doesn't change the way you see your brother in the long run. I don't known the whole situation so I can't really assume anything.
