Today, after breaking up with my boyfriend of 2 years, I was backing out of his driveway when he came running out yelling "STOP!" I thought he wanted to make up so I kept going, until I'd run over his dog. FML

Today, I was driving home with my girlfriend. As we turned onto our block, she shrieked that our dog was running down the street and into traffic. I jumped out of the moving car and chased him for about a mile, only to give up, go home, and find out it wasn't our dog. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. As I left his house and began to drive away, I see him chasing after my car barefoot. I stop and roll down the window, ready to listen to the speech he has prepared to win me over with. He takes a moment to catch his breath and says "I want my cellphone back". FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me. As I was leaving his house, I heard him shout, "Hey! Wait! Sweetie, get back here!" He was talking to his cat who'd run out the door behind me. FML
Today, the dog my now ex-boyfriend and I own together bit me bad enough that I needed stitches on my face and my hand... he then broke up with me and saying it was all too much for him and has kept the dog... FML
Today, my boyfriend thought it'd be a good idea to break up with me in his car. I had to walk home. FML
Today, I was backing out of my garage when my neighbour's collie ran behind my car. Unfortunately, I didn't see it, but I heard a thump. They were out, so I rushed him to the vet's. I was upset, and I guess I was driving too fast and didn't see that another dog was crossing the road. I killed two dogs today. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I got into an argument. Naturally, I drove over to my best friend's house for comfort. My boyfriend saw me driving past his house and promptly broke up with me for being "a psycho stalker." She lives across the street from him. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me. He let me know by shaving "CYA" into my dog's fur and then moving out before I got home from work. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. I'd trusted that he and his ex were “co-parenting” a dog that he and his ex adopted while they were together and nothing more was happening. His ex is pregnant and he’s the father. He insists that he doesn’t love her anymore and it was a “mistake.” He wants me to take him back. FML
Today, my fiancé and I broke up, and he won't answer my calls or texts. I don't want him back; he has my dog. FML

What if a kid was there?! Anytime someone waves their arms frantically and yells stop while you are driving, you should probably stop. And poor dog :(

People are acting like they did this on purpose. Accidents do happen. Most of you would have done the same thing, and don't even dare say you wouldn't! Yes, you aren't supposed to drive when you're upset, but when you want to leave you're probably not going to walk away leaving your car, which he could damage, and then come back for it. That's just wildly unrealistic. So all you people making horrible threats and insulting them really need to look in the mirror and think about who the real monsters are, because it's not the OP. Hopefully the comments get shut down soon. It's just a bunch of emotionally charged children that don't know how to empathize with anyone and only think of themselves. And yes, I'd be saying the same thing if it was a person, not just a kid, a human being. You people act like hitting a kid is worse than hitting an adult. Kids aren't everything. You people make me sick.

after seeing all this people complain about what an awful person she is, i can honestly say I'm disgusted. It was an ACCIDENT, people. So stop saying that "she's an ignorant, awful person" if she clearly didn't realize the dog. And she isn't a bad person for breaking up with her boyfriend either, because it's a natural part of life. yeah, like I actually feel sorry, and people act like if they wouldn't ignore the boyfriend, and make it seem like she did it on purpose and could have obviously seen the dog, but if she could, she wouldn't run the dog over. I also think the ex was an irresponsible pet owner, I'm wonder why would the dog be in a drive way. my dog isn't trained but he's never allowed in an area where cars go in and out of.
