Today, my boyfriend and I got into an argument. Naturally, I drove over to my best friend's house for comfort. My boyfriend saw me driving past his house and promptly broke up with me for being "a psycho stalker." She lives across the street from him. FML

Today, I got into a huge fight with my boyfriend after driving 200 miles to see him. While arguing, I told him I never wanted to see him again and left after slamming the front door. I left my car keys in his kitchen. FML
Today, my boyfriend thought it'd be a good idea to break up with me in his car. I had to walk home. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me to text him when I got home after driving 40 miles in bad weather from his house back to mine. When I did, he broke up with me. FML
Today, I had a massive argument with my boyfriend, in which he called me stupid repeatedly. I stomped out of his house and sent a very angry text to my best friend about him. She didn't text back. Then my boyfriend texted, "My girlfriend is so stupid, she can't even text the right number." FML
Today, my best friend broke up with her partner. In retaliation, he got drunk and stole my car, then crashed it into a neighbour's house. Then after dealing with the police who didn't arrest him, he and my best friend made up and went to bed. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. As I left his house and began to drive away, I see him chasing after my car barefoot. I stop and roll down the window, ready to listen to the speech he has prepared to win me over with. He takes a moment to catch his breath and says "I want my cellphone back". FML
Today, I was making out with my boyfriend. When we took a break and went downstairs, he checked the mail. He had received a letter from his ex-girlfriend, which he opened in front of me. He then began sobbing on my shoulder and broke up with me. He still had to drive me home. FML
Today, I came home early, and my boyfriend's car was in my driveway. Inside, he was talking to my parents. He walked right past me and left. My mother then says, "He wanted me to tell you it's over." FML
Today, I had a fight with my boyfriend over a girl he is close to. He later arrived with flowers for what I thought was an apology. He was actually breaking up with me; the flowers were for her, he just didn't want to leave them in the car. FML
Today, my boyfriend of two and a half years left me. To clear my head I decided to go for a drive. My car broke down on the way. The only mechanic I have ever used and trusted with my car is my boyfriend. Yes, I had to call him. FML

Aside from the fact that he sounds crazy and you're probably better off without him, when you have an argument with someone, whether it be a friend, partner or someone else, I find it the most effective when you talk to the person who was actually involved in the argument. Sure, you can ask other people for advice, but if you want the argument to be solved and to feel happy as soon as possible again, nothing's going to change before you talk to the person you argued with. Usually it isn't anyone else's business anyway. Communication is very important in every relationship.

In my experience, friends very rarely give the honest opinion and usually just try to sympathize with you when you're upset. Even if they do give an honest opinion its usually twisted because you've only given your side of the story.

Maybe you should ask for more honesty. My friends and sister are brutally honest with ne when i ask for advice; i try to give both sides of the fight, but even if im biased towards my side, if they diaagree, they tell me.

@ 15 Yes I know, and that is why it can also be a good idea to wait/stay in silence for a while after you have argued with someone. That way you have (both) calmed down and can (hopefully) solve everything by talking to each other, without getting anybody else involved.
