Today, after backpacking acrossing Europe for a month, I picked up my dog from the doghouse. No one will listen to me or acknowledge the fact that he's now missing two toes. FML

Today, I got home only to discover my dog was missing. After spending ages roaming the freezing streets calling his name, I returned to find him stuck behind the couch with my chewed-up new shoes in his muzzle. FML
Today I adopted a dog. He ran away the same day. FML
Today, I bought a dog to make me feel less lonely. He ran away. FML
Today, my dog ran away. Luckily my neighbors caught him before he got too far. Now they won't give him back because they think I did something to him to make him want to run away. FML
Today, while I was on a field trip with my son, my husband decided to get rid of our dog without asking anyone. Now I get to pick up the pieces of a broken heart, and he thinks he did nothing wrong. FML
Today, my boyfriend finally let me take his dog on a walk, after two years of not trusting me to keep her safe. During the walk, a car drove by, causing her to run after it and pulling the leash out of my hand. Five hours later, and I still can't find her. FML
Today, I got a call about my dog who went missing a week ago. The guy who called said "We have your dog, but you aren't getting her back." Then he hung up. FML
Today, I went to pick up my dog from a friend's place since she agreed to watch him while I went out of state for Spring Break. I arrived at her apartment. She’s gone and the apartment was vacated. She won’t answer her phone or texts, and vanished from all social media. I’m still making payments on the dog. FML
Today, my dog ran away. I looked for him for 5 hours, and when I came back home, he was waiting for me at the door. FML
Today, I opened my car door on reaching destination and my dog escaped. I never found him. My destination was the vet's office to get him micro-chipped. FML

Double check your paperwork from the kennel, OP, before you get lawsuit happy. I know the place I leave my cat at has a clause that they're not responsible if another person's pet does damage to my pet, though they do the best they can to ensure this of course, doesn't happen. If there was no paperwork at all filled out before you took them to this place... well, FYDL for you not doing appropriate research and care into finding an up and up place to leave your pet.

Honestly, I would just drop it, be glad the dog is alive and okay and move on. Your dog could probably also use some special treats, long walks and maybe an adventure or two. It's not worth it to remain stuck in this. My cat has no toes either, she's just hit 18. Be glad you have this time with him/her. Spoil the bitch (if she's female). Don't waste your energy on digging up crap that can't be proven anyway, love your dog and move on. By the way, your dog thinks it's time for you to find a girlfriend (my psychic powers are in full swing tonight!) (wink)

I find it very ****** up that anyone would say just to let this go...really?! If it was you, a relative, or a child that was missing toes would you just 'let it go'?! Does it matter less since its not human? People make me sick...

First off, I love my dog more than anything in this world. But dogs don't have a self image and if he's not acting any different from this experience I would feel a little better for the dog. Now go down to the doghouse and beat some ass!!!
