Today, I was at my cousin's house. We weren't spending time together because he was always texting. After a couple of minutes, I got jealous. I played a ringtone on my cell, and "answered" it. I had a whole conversation with nobody in an attempt to seem somewhat more popular than a 10-year-old. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
I hate small talk
Today, I pretended to be texting to avoid talking to an old classmate I saw at the grocery store. Unfortunately, my phone rang while I was “texting.” It was the classmate. I had no choice but to answer, while we were both standing 10 feet apart. FML
Today, I was so bored at a family gathering that I pretended to be busy texting the whole time. I don't know what's worse, that I'm not close to anyone in my family, or that I have no one close enough to text to about such things. FML
Today, while walking in the mall, I spotted my ex boyfriend with his friends. To make myself look less lonely, I put my iPhone up to my ear and started an imaginary conversation with my invisible boyfriend. As I passed him, my phone started ringing loudly. It was him calling. He knew I was faking. FML
Classic
Today, I pretended to be on the phone to avoid small talk with someone from my building. I spoke loudly into the phone while walking by them. My phone rang in the middle of my fake conversation. FML
Today, I once again used my phone to get out of a conversation with someone, instead of actually talking to someone on it. FML
Not very neighborly
Today, I pretended to be on a work call to avoid talking to my neighbour. Mid-fake call, my phone actually rang. I had to answer it and have two simultaneous conversations while avioding eye contact with my neighbour. FML
Today, I was video chatting my boyfriend. As we were talking, he answered a phone call. I sat there the whole time as he planned a date with some other girl over the phone. FML
Today, the phone rang so I went to answer it. No one was there. A minute later the phone rang again and no one answered so I assumed it was a telemarketer or a prank so I started swearing uncontrollably in rage. Turns out it was my crush calling to ask me out, but she was too nervous to ask. FML
Today, my phone rang just seconds after I left a conference meeting to go use the restroom. It wouldn't have been a problem, except it seems one of my friends thought it would be funny to change my ringtone to a woman having an orgasm. FML
Today, I was visiting my new in-laws for the first time. During an awkward silence, I took my phone and figured I'd send my friend a text jokingly saying "Mayday, mayday! Somebody save me!" My mood lightened up a little and I felt quite well until my mother-in-law's phone beeped. Yep. FML

Just be happy your phone didn't ring loudly while you were having your "conversation"

If he's a ten year old he probably looks up to you anyway. I wouldn't worry about it.

Not necessarily..

Okay, let me get this straight. She, an older female got jealous of a ten year old boy for texting. Wow, a "fake call." I don't normally put people down but that is pathetic. But it does get annoying sitting there while someone is texting and doesn't talk. Little sister does that to me all the time.

What would a ten year old be talking about anyway?

Is it like he cares? I bet he doesn't give a crap about whether or not you're having a phone conversation. Get a life.

don't worry op. if a 10 year old boy was having such a long convo with someone it was probably about world of war craft. -_-

It's probably because you still call it a cell, rather than a cell phone or just a phone, that you weren't talking to anyone.

45 - What the hell does that have to do with anything?

He was probably just trying to impress you or seem cool.

I'm sure AT&T and Verizon will charge you still. Beware of the overages and out of network calling

First of all, why does a 10 year old have a cellphone? If it's not a cell, then why does he have an iPod touch?

I know some people that have children with phones because they're divorced and want direct contact to the child, or because the child is in a lot of activities. (Sports, clubs, etc.)

So that would make you an older loser. Such a fragile ego at your age(??). Grow up tosser and remember this. You got owned by a 10yr old that doesn't want to actually spend time with you. Hahahahahaha
