Today, I opened my car door on reaching destination and my dog escaped. I never found him. My destination was the vet's office to get him micro-chipped. FML

Today, someone let my puppy escape. I didn't know, until I arrived home and hit him with my car. FML
Today, I went to pick up my dog from the vet after she had surgery. I somehow managed to lock my keys, my purse, and my dog in the car. FML
Today, I left my dog in my car for 5 minutes while I ran into a store. The car was running so he was fine, the thing that wasn't so fine is that when I walked out my car wasn't there. My dog somehow moved my car into the middle of a intersection, almost causing an accident. FML
Today, I got pulled over by the cops for swerving a lot while driving. I tried to explain that my dog bit the back of my neck, but as soon as I opened my door to show him the bite marks and the dog, he ran out of the car. I still can't find him. FML
Today, I woke up, got dressed, and left for the 1 hour drive to the nearest vet. When I arrived, I realized that I left my cat in its carrier on my kitchen counter. FML
Today, I searched our neighborhood for our lost dog. After screaming at the top of our lungs, driving around in circles, and asking strangers, we realized we took him to the groomers this morning. FML
Today, my dog ran away. I looked for him for 5 hours, and when I came back home, he was waiting for me at the door. FML
Today, my boyfriend finally let me take his dog on a walk, after two years of not trusting me to keep her safe. During the walk, a car drove by, causing her to run after it and pulling the leash out of my hand. Five hours later, and I still can't find her. FML
Today, I got home only to discover my dog was missing. After spending ages roaming the freezing streets calling his name, I returned to find him stuck behind the couch with my chewed-up new shoes in his muzzle. FML
Today, I was driving back from school 100 miles away from my home with my fiancé and dog. While stopping for gas, we accidentally left our car keys and cell phones in the car. The dog sat on one of the keys and engaged the locks. We were locked out of the car until the tow truck arrived. FML

That sucks op. My dogs always try to escape when I take them to the vet, but luckily I have a leash on them.

Gotta love it. I wish they had a Darwin award site for pets. My Dad had a dog that was leashed to a tractor. It ran around it till the 50 foot leash was up, jumped over it and hung himself.

Wow, it wasn't necessary to be an asshole about it. It was just an idea. Plus, I would never steal someone's dog. I love dogs and I know the owner would be heartbroken if their dog was stolen just as I would if one of my dogs was be stolen.

before I was born, and im sure before microchipping my mother owned two show dogs, both pure bred rottweilers and one day some one decided to steal them, why anyone would steal a dog is beyond me but the only thing my family had left of them was the one puppy they kept, the dog I then grew up with, despite people thinking my mother was crazy for having a large rottweiler around a baby. What im getting at here is people shouldnt have to worry about losing or having their dogs stolen and rottweilers are great no matter what you say, its not the bred its the owner that makes them mean.

What a failed thread. The VET will scan for the chip, moron. If the dog is reported missing and a pic or description is sent to vets in surrounding areas, they’ll scan the dog that meets the description “nobody will scan” bs
