Today, a snow storm rolled into my small town, leaving my car stuck under 3 feet of snow. I called my boss to tell her I couldn't drive to work. Her reply? "Walk." FML

Today, is the blizzard. I have to go into work, my boss threatened to fire me if I didn't show up. I sent him a picture of the snow completely covering my car. He said I moved the snow there and could move it back. FML
Today, I got snowed in. At work. FML
Today, it was snowing really badly, so my boss said that everyone who drove to work could leave. But because I got the bus in, she said that I should stay and do a full day. By the time she eventually decided it was bad enough for me to leave, the buses were cancelled. FML
Today, I got stuck in the snow in the middle of street. As I was just beginning to get myself unstuck, the snow plow came by and buried the front end of my car. FML
Today, my car got stuck in a foot of snow. I tried desperately digging around my wheels to see if it would help. I was finally able to get out 10 minutes later only to realize that I had dropped my phone in the snow while I was digging and had run over it. FML
Today, walking to work in a snowstorm since I don't own a car, a man rolled down his window and screamed, "what are you doing you f***ing freak? you stupid b**ch!", while I waited for a green light to cross. FML
Today, I spent an hour in a snowstorm waiting for my bus to show up. After I got fed up, I decided to just clean off my car and drive to work. After I was halfway finished swiping off the snow and ice stuck to my car, the bus drove right past me. FML
Today, my boss texted me to say the office was closed because of the snow. I begged him to let me go in anyway because I had nothing to do all day. I have no life, friends or hobbies. FML
Today, it's -20°C outside. Half way through my thirty minutes walk to work, my boss pulled up beside me in her car, said "You look cold. I'll see you at work." And then drove away. FML
Today, my car died after I got off work at 1am. All of my coworkers had already left and nobody could come out to jump my car. I had to walk the 3 miles home in a torrential downpour. FML

Or OP is a lazy ass who calls out of work all the time. I would imagine if he was a model employee his boss would be more understanding, but if he calls out with lame excuses all of the time, she probably is just sick of it and assumes he's bullshitting her again.

I live in southwest Oklahoma and we r having the same problem. we r out of school today and tonite it's supposed to be 3 degrees.lucky for us, we have 90 cows and bout 30 little calves(baby cows) we have to tend to. and 5 elderly horses, 5 dogs and 4 cats with a broken water pipe that flooded our house. and we can't get water to our cows and horses cuz the hoses are frozen and so is the water..FML

Making fun of how you talk, and telling you how to talk are two completely different things. I "talk" the same way. I'm from a tiny town in Arkansas, but I don't type like a babbling hillbilly. have you ever tried to walk in 3 feet of snow? i grew up walking to school in that and it is not fun. if she walked she would probably be late for work and God knows what her boss would have done then, considering how short she's being now.

OP, how convenient that you left out how far you'd have to walk. I can only assume you did so because it's not very far, especially in a small town. Of course you could have kept your car clear before all 3 feet of snow piled on it. Or you could shovel. The very least you could do is get off the internet and get to work .YDI.

Except for he/she may not actually work in that small town. I work in a big city but live in a small town thirty minutes out where housing is significantly cheaper. I have to take the highway to get into work, and you can't walk the highway. We also don't have any kind of public transportation where I live. It's entirely possible that it isn't an issue of laziness, but of it not being possible to find another way.
