Today, my boyfriend sent me so many nice texts that he made me fall in love with him that little bit more. It turns out he was sweetening me up before telling me he cheated on me the night before. FML

Today, I sent my boyfriend a sweet text message, since he recently complained that I'm rarely romantic. Instead of being happy, he decided that since it's so out of character for me, I must be cheating on him and must have only sent it out of guilt. FML
Today, my boyfriend wrote me a love letter saying about how much he cares for me, how he'd die for me and how he wants to spend his life with me. What really took my breath away was the confession at the end about how he "accidentally" cheated on me with my best friend. FML
Today, I received a bouquet of flowers from my boyfriend, which is something he's never done before. Unfortunately, this was his way of apologizing for cheating on me. FML
Today, by pure chance, I found the website where my boyfriend has been getting all the cute, "original" romantic texts he sends me, including the one that made me fall in love with him to begin with. FML
Today, I confronted my boyfriend after he received a text with a bunch of hearts on it. After arguing, turns out it was from me. FML
Today, I received a beautiful, heart-felt text from my boyfriend detailing all the ways he loved me. He probably should have emphasized just how big his heart is though because he sent the text to three other women too. Thank you, group messaging. FML
Today, I went through my boyfriend’s emails and found out that he cheated on me the day before he asked me to move in with him. FML
Today, my boyfriend brought me home flowers and candy for the first time in our one-year relationship. Thinking he was going to finally propose, I got excited. I asked why he was being so sweet, and he responded with, "I thought you'd take the breakup better this way." FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend purposely makes me cry because it makes him feel special. FML
Today, my boyfriend of three years sent me several flowers and chocolate boxes to my office. It ends up that he cheated on me with my sister and tried to break the news to me after all the presents he sent. I thought he actually remembered our anniversary this year. FML

Well, he didn't break it to you in song, in front of 100 other people, that's a start. But the sweetening deal makes him seem a little cowardly, especially IF he told you he cheated by text. Anyway, here's to to hoping things shape of for you, one way or another, OP. We're here for you at least.

Maybe he thought it was cancel out.. you love him more before and less after... so.. you should love him the same as you did before the situation happened.

Except sending someone a sweet text only makes them love you a little more. Telling someone you cheated on them makes them love you A LOT less.

OP I'm sorry that he did this and you must be heartbroken. The sad truth is...... People do in fact, sometimes..... cheat. It happens far more often then most of us would care to admit, and although his *way* of confessing sucks ass, at least he came clean. Take some time, think about what you want for yourself, and decide. If this is something you feel you can't get over, then move on. If you feel he's been otherwise an amazing person, and you want to try to work things out then who are we to tell you know? You two wouldn't be the first couple to survive this sort of thing. Really.

I agree BUT I don't think OP's relationship is strong enough to survive his mistake, because I get the feeling that they aren't together for that long. I could be wrong, though, in which case OP could better go to a counselor. It's difficult to fix mistakes like this on your own, cheating always has some root causes which need to be solved.

Sadly that's when you gotta be suspicious :( unless he's normally all lovey dovey. My sister in law, (nieces mom, was married to my brother, now divorced.) was married to a man who just a few weeks ago started acting really lovey dovey and then he admitted to cheating, for the billionth time, and she is now divorced from him. You deserve better OP.
