Thanks honey
Today, I was feeling really down, so I texted my boyfriend and asked him to tell me why he loves me, thinking he would cheer me up. His response? "Don't bug me with this stupid shit anymore. You always ask such dumb questions." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I told my boyfriend I loved him. His response? "Is that why you have been so clingy and annoying lately?" FML
Today, my boyfriend called and asked me why I love him. I told him because he's always there for me and continues to put up with my bipolar disorder. He promptly said "not anymore" and hung up. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML
Today, I was texting my boyfriend when he said, "Hold up." Thinking it'd be funny, I ran and grabbed my copy of the movie Up, and took a picture of me holding it and sent it to him. He replied, "Getting real tired of your shit." Then dumped me for my "dumb taste in humor." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were in bed and I asked him why he was with me. His answer was, "Well, the last girl I dated was really smart and she always made me feel dumb, so I decided to switch things up a bit. You make me feel like a genius, babe." FML
Today, after a hard day's work and emotional argument with my best friend, I sent my boyfriend a text telling him how much I loved him and cherished him in the hopes he would cheer me up with a romantic reply. He said "Sorry, I've only got 8 texts left." FML
Today, the guy I like took 15 hours to respond to my text. When I asked him why he took so long to respond, he said, “Chill, I’m not your boyfriend or anything, why are you asking me questions like that?” FML
Today, I got in a fight with my boyfriend. I sent him a long message pouring my heart out about how hurt I am that he constantly ignores me or responds to almost everything I say in monosyllables. He texted back "ok". FML
Today, my boyfriend came over and dropped off my phone, which I'd left at his place the night before. He immediately left in a sulk. As I looked through my texts, I discovered he was only so moody because I hadn't answered any of his calls or messages. I'm dating an idiot. FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend a long and heartfelt message. He responded with "tl; dr". FML

You picked the wrong boyfriend. Though, if you just texted and said "Why do you love me?" without any explanation, that would piss anyone off.

Once in a while those texts might be cute, but if you do them a lot, it gets really annoying! And I can relate to your boyfriend. Sometimes girls just ask the stupidest questions that are really hard to answer.

Wow, that was rather harsh. Your bf sounds like an ass. If you ask him stuff like that regularly, however, please take note of all the male responses here that show their annoyance for this kind of thing. Men don't think about relationships the way women do at all. They don't think about things like the specific reasons WHY they have the feelings they have; they just feel them and figure that's enough. And it should be. Most women are sensitive and lots are a little insecure, and like being reminded that they're important to the men they're dating, which sounds fair to me. If you make him play the reassurance game over and over again, though, almost any guy will get tired of it really quickly. It makes you sound clingy and dependent, for one thing, and for another, it makes it sound like you didn't believe him last time he reassured you. Don't make him repeat himself. Finally, don't let your happiness revolve around other people. I'm not the best at that myself; I think it's a fairly standard female failing, but try really hard to become emotionally independent. You can't root your happiness in a guy, a friend, a parent, a mentor, no one - because they'll all let you down at some point, and then what will you do? You have to find your emotional stability within yourself. Let yourself love other people, but don't let yourself need them. The key to healthy relationships is that independence. Good luck, and I hope you feel happier soon.

Dumbass. You deserved that one. That's not meant to be randomly said through texts.

#119 - Swan Pot. Kettle. Black, Swan. You say "So please men, have a little understanding of the woman in your life. It's not our fault." Then you say "Don't you expect us to understand when you do your stupid 'man' things." Are you kidding me? You want us to have understanding for your "woman" things, but women don't even attempt to understand "man" things... Laughing my ********* ass of. Men are the way they are because of our hormones and chemicals, just like women.... Yet, women aren't expected to attempt to understand the hormones and chemicals, but the men have to? Equality much? Give me a ******* break.

Eh, dump his ass. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior.

YDI for being such a whiny ass needy bitch, and this is coming from a girls perspective....It seems like you're kind of an attention ***** who has to rely on other people for everything..LEARN TO BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT! It sounds like you've annoyed him in the past and he finally reached his breaking point so serves your right. Learn to rely on yourself more. Shit bitch, way to set us girls back 300 years.

Yea I'm going to have to agree with the men on this one. Yes us women have mood swings, but there can still be some control. For example, if I know I'm going to be a bitch, I tell people to leave me alone. Or if I do get snappy, I just apologize. #119- you make women sound so helpless. "Oh I'm on my period, I can't control the way I act!" That's just the way it reads to me. I like to have responsibility for the way I act. Not blame it on a cycle.

I'd imagine that such harsh response means you must have bugged him previously with these sort of questions. Don't ask questions to "cheer" you up. Instead, tell him you're feeling depressed so that way he'll know to cheer you up. Don't ask dumb questions that beat around the bush.

YDI for being an attention *****. Clearly, you do it quite often.

Sorry girls, but there are very few (if any) guys who do not hate being asked that question. Advice to all of you, stop asking the question and you'll end up being happier. YDI.
